1) Just because it works, doesn't mean it's supported - so things will still go wrong.
2) Vista just came out. Ofcourse theres excuse for them to not have it completely working. Give them some fucking time, moron. Stable code doesn't magically appear. They did the right thing in not trying to get it to work during Beta, since so much changes, there'd be a chance that it wouldn't work with final release version anyway.

i think he ment by like..having arguments about how realisitic the game is, and those other threads people were having silly pointless arguments about.

FFXI isn't a dead end, they're making several million dollars a month from it. It's not as popular as WoW is, true, but saying that it's a dead end just because it's not the #1 product is stupid beyond belief. Considering they're continuing to update the game, create expansions, fix bugs, maintaining servers and solving problems, there is no reasoning to think that SE considers the game dead.

Yeah, being #4 on the list(Ignoring Runescape, which has free play) of MMOs by subscriber count isn't "Dead end" at all.
