Finally, a bright side to the anti-MPK patch. I was in Promyvion Vahzl tonight and we were in a tight spot that looked like there was no way around. Very thin walkway with about 10 mobs close together. What we did was have someone take one for the team and link them and run them away while the rest of us ran to a safe spot beyond the area. None of use cured the one linking the mobs and after they were dead, the mobs despawned of course. This way we were able to get passed them with no problems and no one dying except for the intentional death. This might be helpful to remember whie doing any of the Promyvions, especially since there is a rush to do them since Diabolos requires them being done. Just thought I'd toss it out. Thanks to Marajade for taking one for the rest of us.^^

awesome. Does it work in other areas as well? would be a end to entire PT deaths due to links and not being able to get to zone on time.

There was no zoning involved. We just had one person get a train and move them to an area out of the way so that we could get to the safe area past where we were. When the person died, since no one had cured them or hit the mobs, they despawned. We were outside of it's radius and made sure to stay that way so that it wouldn't come after us. Worked like a charm though.

Strange, all the mobs inside promy zones are rated as NMs, so that shouldn't work. Guess, as usual, SE wasn't completly correct on their patch announcements.

No they aren't, Rones. They check EP-IT like normal mobs. The only NMs are the ones on the alternate Floor 3s, inside Spires, and the force pop NMs in Vahzl using the drops from the Floor 3 NMs in the regular Promyvions.

Hmm, maybe it is only the little ones around the MR then. I remember now getting a T rating on that big guy inside holla on the first floor.

The MRs are notorious as well, but people aren't likely to be training them away :P

The only things that I remember us doing it on were mobs that had normal check messages, not NMs, but it worked like a charm when we did it.^^

Finally a brightside? the whole anti-mpk thing is awesome unless your a bst

Players can use this new rule to their advantage. Pullers partying near a zone can get rid of links by having the pty pick off one mob, let other mob follow and have puller zone. Link disappears. Was very happy levelling in garliage citadel recently as trains passed by, were zoned, and disappeared. Only disadvantage is if too many mobs are trained and there are none left to grab for the next in the chain. I'm sure SE will do something to nerf this advantage someday.

yea! those bst miss mpking our exp parties ; ;

This patch also really helps with "Garbage Shitadel". I haven't heard any complaints about it since the anti-MPK update, and that's good because the reason no one likes it there is because everyone's always zoning and no one takes the liberty of choosing another place to kill other than right by the zone.
