WTF!! This is just plain crap! This is far and away the best earring in the game for a Blm. I have been drooling over this thing for many levels now! At first I was excited to learn that it was rare/ex. I thought great! this thing wont be overcamped like lizzy! Man, now I wished it wasn't rare/ex so you could just but the damn thing! I will not be able to solo this thing until I am probably level70 and that will be 23 levels above when I could use it and Ill only be able to wear it for 5 levels.
I could get a party together for it, which I have. Problem is that its a 2 hour spawn and there are high-level Rdms who are there for it as well.
I do have higher level friends I could ask, but I feel bad and have a hard time saying: "Hey Robyn, can you take 10 hours out of your life to come camp this thing with me for the drop?"
My real bitch is, why couldnt they make this a forced pop like the carby mitts, the thf daggger, the optical hat, etc ? It would be so much easier to say, "Hey guys, I got the item I need to make this SOB pop. Can you come help me kill it?" I mean seriously! That would be so much better.

So I am left to make the following offer:
I am willing to pay 300k to anyone that is willing to camp this thing with me till we get the drop. I will also give up all the cocktrace meat and other drops. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Profblix aint that bad...... took me 3 tries to get the earring....
but i know others that didnt get the earring in 12 tries......

oh and it defeated me (not killed) when i tried the level 68 solo.....
my counter campers were friends of mine.... i told them if i get it and cant solo it i'd ask for their help in a couple of cures... invite them to join my pt.... and claim forfeit on the earring (its better than death).
Dont think an earring dropped then either

I have killed it three times just by chance while passing through there and got the drop all three times. I even have one of those now, but I sure can't use it. I'll help you camp it though if you want, its really not that bad of gob if silenced.

This item just infuriates me. I dont mind askin for help, but it's somehow different when you are killing stuff for hours for a coffer key drop vrs asking someone to sit with you waiting for an NM to pop. Ya know? Thanks all for lettin me vent.

And Just to note, THere is no 'thief dagger' that is a triggered spawn. There is a Hornetneedle, which is a triggered spawn and is able to be used by many jobs, and getting the trigger is a pain in the ass... And there is a Thief Knife which is Far from a Trigger span as you can get.,

Hornetneedle! Yup, that's the one! I just remembered going with a Thf bud and killing wespes for a drop, then using the drop to spawn the NM deeper in the temple. My thief was very happy!

Know how you feel -.-, so far I've seen it's name in red letters 5 times, and no drops so far, last night was my 9th attempt but no claim.

My current reward for it is 100k. =/

hehe same like when i wanted to form a party to bostaunix in north sandoria to kill and NM for jelly ring, well i didn't offer any reward as i never ask for gil when i help ppl, too bad others don't think the same way.
I never got it, prolly never will too.

I must've gotten lucky with my earring. The party I was in was xping of off the cockatrices. When we were done, the mysticmaker was uncamped so we pulled it. It was by no means a pretty fight, but we killed it and they let me have the drop. I had to wait 4 levels just to equip it.

alanon, i've "attempted" a couple of times to get earring for my rdm... all because i just got beat cause they had numbers.

besides, it's not a bad place to just actually farm and kill stuff while you wait for it to spawn and respawn, etc etc. as long as you are viable level to kill everything by yourself.

GL in trying to get earring tho'. the only bad thing is that he doesn't always drop earring, not like a few other NM/HNM that are 100% drop rate for some items.

Firstly yea that is Alanons in game name, we are friends, he has not been on lately though. And this earing is a great example as to why the NM items are so much, people hate camping them with a passion and do not want to be bothered spending quite a few hours out of thier day bored out of thier minds.
