Sea Obi's

As far as the farming issue is, if you have blm that can use the obis you can easily, EASILY farm these, spend an hour or two soloing sharks and you can get a stack of phuabo organs, tissue, and a easy couple K xp(150+ a kill i think). I had no problem on drop rates there as blm, just getting the squids to seperate cuz I was too lazy to sleepga, kill one and zone. I got numerous people their required organs in about an hour nuking sharks and goldfish down.

As for the squids, the babies link onto the momma but neither the momma nor the other baby will link onto a baby, and none of them will link onto any member of another group of squids.

So if you can keep track of the groups, you can kill one baby, then another baby, then finally the momma, all without link problems. Only dilemma is, of course, they zip all over the place and are hard to track down (and the babies don't take all *that* long to repop). So a somewhat more viable compromise is to kill one baby, sleep 2 the other, and kill the momma.

Also, although it has no real pertinence to the topic at hand, I would like to interject a tangential statement of obvious that euvhi drop rates suck horribly.

Difference is the solo Xzomits don't have a 100% drop on the NQ Xzomit organs, where the lower tier leader Xzomits do.

I thought I remember an area where there was double xzomits (parent + 1 child), but I haven't played in a long time. I did solo most of my organs/tissues, so I got around quite a bit, and I'm pretty sure I remember spending some time soloing double xzomit's with the bigger xzomit having the same 100% drop rate. Kill, wait for baby to wake, sleep2, alt+tab.

I might just be completely off though, or they may have even changed it. I haven't been on ffxi for 7 months now, so who knows...

But as a black mage, I recommend soloing as much of this side quest as you can, including (especially) relaxing earring. It just feels so much more rewarding that way, and you leave a lot of your fear of soloing behind when you rape VT mobs for items and exp day after day all by yourself. It's like a pilgrimage, or at least it was for me. This was my defining quest on ffxi.

Yes, color of the day does boost accuracy. Sleep for example. However i remember sleeping pudding 100 times in a row on darksday, with and without the obi, and i didn't see any difference. So it's probably unoticable, just like stat's accuracy bonus anyway.
If using for blm it be noticeable due do to lower enf cap, just like using dark for drain on rdm would be more noticeable. However since rdm has a high enfeb cap you will not notice a hug difference, and would most likely get better results of the pent. belt, or mp from hi-arch belt (depending how you play rdm). Though if want see big results merit ice and wind acc.
