Does anyone search anymore? It's not hard to go "/Search <Area>." I'm sorry, but I've gone beyond annoyed when I have a good party in an empty zone, then another party shows up. Okay, so that's not that bad. How about another 2, or 3. Maybe 4? It's rediculous to try and pack 10 parties into the Mire along with the 2 people solo'ing mobs as well, then all start a shout war over who has to stay or leave. What's wrong with you higher level people? That was supposed to stop back in the dunes. "Oh, look. The beach is full. Let's pick somewhere else." Yesterday night, my party wipes because we had a stupid red mage who refused to cure. They expected me, a bard, to cure a paladin. lol. Like that's going to happen with my massive 180 MP pool. Anyway, we wipe because the Imp decided to silencega us then use a thundaga followed up by another. We are laying there dead, and this other party decides to run up and camp right on top of us. lol. Couldn't even raise us, then they have the gull to make fun of us in say. This is getting rediculous, is everyone that self centered?

It's not just the other party leaders though, it's the party's members. If you're in a party, and they go to camp over top of two other partys, who as it is, are struggling to keep anything past a chain 3 because of lack of mobs; how stupid can you be to be okay with that? You're not just ruining it for yourselves, you're ruining it for everyone. You're dropping your own exp gain per hour, as well as wasting gil on food, ninja tools, ammo, what ever, just because you're too bull headed to speak up? I thought sheep were a mob, not a type of player. You have a voice, so speak up.

This obsession with new areas is unbelievable. Especially from those people who refuse to exp anywhere but the new areas, even though they are completely packed. I've made several parties in the last week where I have had members flat out leave because I refused to go to a new area after having searched and found 6 parties in a 2 party area. Sorry, but I would rather not have 2k exp an hour, to sit in a new area when I could go exp in, say, Kuftal Tunnel, Bibiki Bay, Uleguerand Range or even Sky and get full chains. "But, I want my turban when I hit level 75!" Great, so do I. That doesn't mean I will only exp there. If it's empty, let's go. If it's full, then we can exp some where else. That's just how it is.

/Search. Do you have it? Are you smart enough to use it? Doubt it. Good Job 60% of the level 68+ population.

i agree people need to search. but the comment about "you high levels" is just retarded.

there arent many places to XP or merit in all honesty - thickets, mire, sky, KRT, and lolmeadows.

id rather go to an uncontested camp, but i hate to say, that really, too many people have jobs over 70, and there arent enough places to accomodate.

I suppose, but honestly the last few times I've gone to bibiki bay it was nearly empty. Our only competition there was lolrmt that kept wiping. Granted the xp is better in the mire if it's not way too full of people, but that rarely happens lol.

Edit: The couple of times I've xped in sky since the expansion there have been no parties competing with us for mobs.

bibiki is a joke for 75s. id rather go there then rather 3-4 parties in mire, but, then again i just wouldnt go at all at that point probably.

Try to get somone to go to a TAU camp other than the next to the portal at thickets or mire and they generally refuse to. That's what I experience anyway.

It's not nearly the xp of the new areas, that's for sure. But messing around with friends in a 4 and 5 person party we were getting decent (not omg 10k an hour!) numbers. :P You can go through mobs very quickly, and at least get some good chains. It's definitely better 73 or below though.

The mire blows. xping there blows. You'll almost never see me there!

lol. My party in Bibiki was getting 7.5k exp an hour the other day, that's not too bad, we were getting chain 15 or so before we would lose it. (>.<) We should exp sometime Kero! lol. And, as far as the high level comment, it's mostly true. The higher level population, the "endgamers" and their "look at me!" gear, try to show off and muscle the other parties out. Not to mention it's got a better chance of happening at higher levels, because in all honesty, how many level 40 partys do you see even getting past chain 5? lol. They can't camp over another party, take and sleep all their exp mobs, and deal with them one by one killing them off for high chains. That only seems to start to happen around level 60+. In my opinion anyway.

If you want to argue against me on relative terms with that, then it's basicly my experiences versus yours. But, seeing the average number of problems I've had having camps over run have been post level 65, that's why I've posted this with examples of higher level camps. It wasn't an attack aimed directly at any specific demographic of players, I am just saying it appears to happen more because of ability to do so at that level. If the lower level range could chain like that, I'm sure there would be more issues there as well.

Mire exp is great if there are only 2-3 parties there, or 1-2 "endgame" equipped merit partys that can really kill fast. The exp "blows" when you pack 7-8 partys in the same area, and you fight to break chain 3. Which, is kind of the point of my original post. (>_>) /Search please!

Edit: Spelling. (>.<);

Not really, but to each his/her own. :) Too much strain to keep chains going there for not as much xp vs the infinite chains in the thickets for higher xp. But I guess for some pts the mire is better. I just don't make/get into those pts often!

I guess that could be taken into consideration. (^.^)v The party setup really does matter, such as imps and flys I guess are better for my setups which usually have a ranger or two. I have had bad experiences in the thickets, lol. So, maybe I just had a bunch of bad setups there. Point taken.

I've taken to putting where I am in my search comment (pos). Doesn't really help when people don't search the zone.

I would always do this back when I levelled bst. It was kind of an unspoken code amongst the more polite bsts (I'm assuming it still is). But yeah, a lot of people don't search zones. It's always the first thing I do when I'm pt leader, and I keep doing it until the pt is full. I don't wanna waste my/everyone else's time in a full zone.

That system worked great for the Shrine. [Front]D.Weapon[Camp]

It's also the only camp I've seen to use a search comment, besides BST.

That would be an awesome thing for people to do everywhere. But, no one wants to take the 2 minutes to type that out in their comments. /Sigh.

I was in on the second party to arive there lastnight after the zone had went down and came back online. We where camped at the north camp. At first the exp was good we had a few imp pops in front of us and two behind them all of the sudden the zone went from around 20 people to 85 to 90+ people. Once that happend are exp went from slow but ok to well shit. We ended up having to pull anything that we could. After about 40 minutes of this and seeing even more people coming to the zone we gave up and camped. Behind the East Moongate exp was 100 times batter there then in the IMP when the zone became way over packed. But on a good note I got my 6k I needed to hit 74 on SMN well on the IMPS /cheer behind the Moongate before I left after 30 minute up there and had gotten just about 3k.

This is what I was talking about. How can that many people not mind that they are trying to distribute that few mobs over that many partys? lol. No one searches, and obviously no one minds the massive exp/hour hit trying to share camps like that.

If for some on goddly reason I am ever stuck being party leader and there is more the 2 to 3 70+ parties in that zone I will not even give it as an option for a camp site and go to Mamook area or Mount Zhayolm area if the party really wants to stay in the new area. I think the exp is just as good to maybe better in these other area's ya sure it might take twice as long to kill one mob but hell of you are getting 190 to 200 a kill with no ring on. And with IMPS it took us chain 4 to 5 before we broke 200 exp with no ring. When the IMP zone has a low population its great chains start off small but build fast. But when you are lucky to get chain 2 and thats off flies because there the only open targets.

And when the leader asked what camp everyone wants I will /sea that zone it see how full it its and try and give them other options. 9/10 times it never work and we end up going there getting shitty exp for an hour and then find another area to exp in or the other bad thing happens and the party breaks up.

You're a bard, you'll be steamrolling over noob parties (and drg, pld, drk, sam parties) in no time.
