Quality > quantity. The sad thing is while we lack the former we've got the latter in spades whereas you folks are the exact opposite and always will be if you continue to circle-jerk yourselves over the same old bullshit year in and year out.

Thing is, there's plenty of quality posts coming from people. Many of us have just given up on making them because too many people more or less plug their ears and go "LA LA LA LA LA" if it's something they don't agree with. If you pull up, say, the old Religion thread or one regarding Iraq, you can find plenty of "quality posts" that I speak of...just, someone always hasto get way too worked up over stuff and people totally lose focus from the good posts...in which, it sortof destroys the point in even bothering.

It wasn't an example I gave, Makelith. I didn't name names and I said it in broad terms because it's happening in a lot of posts, not just the one everyone is bringing up which particularly irritated me because yes, I had a personal connection to it. And since I was the original OP, I found it interesting that's the example everyone's pointing to.

I didn't really make a list of them, I'm sorry. I know what I've seen, and obviously there are a few others in this thread who have seen what I'm talking about. I'm really not interested in sifting through the whole current content of qcdn and archives to point out numerous examples to you. I've read them often, in passing, in the forums I visit regularly and have visited regularly for a long while now. They're there, and if you're that curious, they aren't real difficult to find. And you'll find it's the same group of people, with few exceptions, that are known for that kind of garbage.

Mish, as far as this being my community you've got things entirely wrong this couldn't and wouldn't be my community if i wanted it too, i've been 'above' the community standard almost since i got here way back when i could almost stomach claiming most of you. Hence the only time i was removed was when i did it myself. I get bored, these boards are more interesting than the WoW forums and we've got history. What works for any of you is hardly my concern. I'm familiar with how to handle it. #1, this isn't about the mods, I never mentioned them, and #2, I never said I did or didn't do anything about the posts I thought were ridiculous.

This is about the mods. Why? Because they are the only ones able to keep the flames from continuing outside the flameboard. This is a dead horse subject, it was discussed ad nauseum when Sculli decided to remove the flameboard. Basicly, you cannot make people be nice to each other all the damn time. No matter how many posts are made on this board about it, it will never change.

Also, be honest, you didn't report any post did you. All you did was make a thread about how you're so offended by what other people you don't know say.

Everyone's got issues that make them somewhat intollerable. Not everyone feels the need to squirrel said issues from the world. If people are ok being out and proud about being assholes, big fucking deal. Talking to them about it is going to get you absolutely nowhere. Either you use the system of checks and balances provided by QCDN (i.e. report, FB [not advisable if your aim is not to be prodded further], mod/admin PM) or you get your ass packing to somewhere on the internet that will cater to your needs.

I'll admit that the more Leggo baited me with the exact kind of crap I'm referring to in my first post, the more irritated I became, and kaikyaku is absolutely right, I got wrapped up in the back and forth of it and the point got lost. Countless other posts have gotten misdirected with that kind of junk, and I'm sorry to say I helped this one get off track by even paying attention to his useless drivel. I'm not going to continue to post in this thread because it's played out enough as it is. All I will say is that Lavi is one person who actually gets it. On page 4 she nailed it exactly, and I'll leave this thread with her post:

The idea behind a little jab is to get a joke out of it for all to laugh at, but apparently and with obvious reason, he was the only one who could get a laugh out of it. He did it knowing full well the other party, Zalbag and Vin, would not find it funny, instead quite the opposite. Deci's little jab was meant to be an ass and he is an ass, I will give him that. It's one thing to make a joke for everyone to laugh at, but another to insult others and bring up events you know would rather be forgotten. Of course you skipped over the second part of my post too. Perhaps that's because it's very obvious it didn't belong?

No one is asking the boards to become goodie-goodie. No one wants that at all. What is asked is a little self-constraint and proper decorum at the very least. Don't bash people just because they made a post and you want to troll. Don't insult someone in their goodbye post. Just put a little thought into it. There is no reason to constantly insult people just because you can.
