hey everybody, i've been playing this game for a few months now, but i haven't really gotten into it yet. one of the main reasons is the party wait time. i am a level 24 monk. i have decent gear. but everytime i go to kazham to get an exp party, nobody is ever their. so i asked my friend about it and he said to wait in jeuno for a kazham party to form. so i did that, and no party ever formed. it is getting old just sitting around for HOURS and doing nothing. what do i have to do to get in an exp party for near my level?

Well, you can try forming your own party, for one..

Secondly, make sure that you're time online isn't just spent LFG. While seeking, level a craft, or do some missions. I made the mistake too long of doing one thing at a time in this game. Even if you never get a party, you'll still have accomplished something. And that keeps the game fun. Oh, and get a good LS. That eases the pain too.. ;)

You're at a tough level right now. At 24, people are still partying in Qufim till 25. People probably do not want to invite you knowing you'll have to leave for Kahzam at 25. Also, at 24 you maybe too weak for Kahzam. Don't sweat it though, you'll get there. Just stay in Jeuno with your flag up. Bide your time by fishing/crafting etc.

that's another thing actually, i can't seem to get a good LS. everytime i ask for one only people respond that are starting a new LS. is there any LS out there that would take a new player and help him out a little (i mean with advice, not items or gil)?

Make sure you use search comment to display your current exp/tnl and undoubtedly "promote" yourself.

Sometimes if there are 2 lvl24 MNK's (you and some other guy) and he has displayed that he is 1.5k exp to next level for example, and you have displayed nothing. They may decide just to go for him as it may be exactly what they are looking for without even considering you. After all people would rather not get into sending multiple /tell's to find out whether you are right for the party or not, they just want to get your ass in there and get levelling.

Also, make sure your sub-jobs arn't gimped (i'm sure they are not anyway ;) ) as it can make a significant impact on the rate of party invites if they see your a 24MNK/4WAR for example.

And finally, as a MNK. Expect your invites to not be as frequent as a lot of other jobs since you will be competing with all the WAR, THF, DRG, DRK, SAM, and possibly some BST for those melee/DD slots. Tanks, mages and support jobs always tend to have more frequent rates of invites since they dont have many alternatives in parties compared to melee.

If you're looking for a friendly, helpful, and social LS, consider KeitaroPrime. More information @ http://www.forcecouncil.com/forums/index.php?showforum=14

Sorry for the shameless promotion.. :D
