Btw so everyone knows. If you get a NM, it doesnt matter. It turns into a generic monster of that class.

My tav ram came out stronger than someones steelfleece. Atleast in levels

Does anyone know what jettos buy at the 500 and 5000 lvl? Asked some people ingame and couldn't get an answer.
 
As an odd note on things, it seems from testing that some friends of mine are doing, capture accuracy using the soultrapper is tied to ranged accuracy. "Only one miss with sharpshot up"

I think that might be true. I didnt miss a single time on low level demons and anticas. But higher level took more tries.

500 - HQ Camera and HQ slides

5000 - HQ of the new beastman hats

Does anyone know if it's random success rate or is it easier if the mob is engaged?
 
I noticed a higher success rate while standing directly in front of the mobs while catpuring.

Oh yeah...and go go lvl 6 cactuar NIN/DRK "The Tornado"!

There's abilities that cost 70+ FP. Anyone figure out if monsters get a higher FP cap as they level? I wanna use my Auto Regen + 5 ; ;
 
I am not sure if this is true or not either but it seemed as if i had better sucess with certian jobs of mobs... When i was on brd/whm and me and ilana on rdm/blm went to go take pictures of corses i went 0-6 and she went 2-3. I was using Hq camera she was using regular. Then we went and took some pictures of soulflayers where i went 7-12 and she went 0-6. She didnt wanna buy a third camera and i still had 24 shots left so i had the brilliant idea to go take pictures of fomors in Lufaise meadows up by the birds. Took 12 pictures of fomor nin with 8 captures (still didnt get the one i saw in someones bazaar for 100k tho) and then i saw the fomor mnk and went 1-10 on fomor mnk. And 2 for 2 on abraxas (sp).

Its probably coincidence but they were some pretty significant swings so i think there may be something to it. Also all of my pictures were taken in first person view with the mob looking directly at me.. sleeping most of the time cept for the fomors.

If anyone can come up with a reasonable explain for these swings please share.
 
I'm curious if Squenix is busting any copyrights with their talk of "trading between versions to 'catch 'em all'"....

Wikipedia said Ranged Accuracy Bonus gear can increase your chance of capture.

I decided to test that on some Wivres when i was looking for Defence Traits..
On RNG with some quick gear i brought along, had about +40 ranged acc.
Went 6/7 on my first Wivre and 2/4 on Colibri.

Used the 2000 model along with regular Blank Soul plates.

Yea everytime your pet levels, their FP's capacity increases. My Dahak from level 9 to 10, it went from 28FP to 30FP.
 
i dont see where SE would get sued... its a play on words from the original "Gotta catch'em all!" ... They didn't add "Gotta" so it isn't the same. Kinda like google's spin off websites and RMT taking peoples name like "Cecilxy"
