I know it's possible to mine up quest descriptions and from that, starter NPCs, but not directly where it starts or how to do it.

Not very specific though. I'd go out on a limb and say they're meaning early afternoon PST, but what's afternoon to them? 12:01? 5:00?

The Astral Candy will be gone for a long time...... now that WotG is here :)

Oh I know, but I recall for ToAU everyone was waiting in the tenshodo room because we managed to guess where the quest started at. You had to farm some items in that case.. it's going to be a bitch if you have to farm items again to be allowed access.

In CoP's quest you had to do prommies...

I doubt they'll just say "HEY! GO AHEAD TO THE PAST!" So I was wondering if anything was discovered.

From the Japanese PoL...

* 2007 November 22nd (the wood)"the God soldier of the extended data disk ファイナルファンタジー XI Al shelf which" is sold has planned the start of service in approximately the your day noon.

That says around noon their time?
Six hours to go -_-

Actually, that seems like it. The mission detail is just saying about the cavernous maws. Maybe when you check them you get a cutscene with cait sith.
At least, I'm hoping...
