### Server Move Complete - Sort Of ###

Yeah, animated avatars and signatures are being phased out.
The problem is that animated avatars or signatures create rendering lag for some clients. I didn't make much of it when I first heard about it, but I just sat through a board meeting so boring that I was browsing QCDN and changing LS forum permissions, and indeed, my just under a year old Dell 300M lags badly when there are animated sigs.

The LS forums should all back up. If you can't see yours, please PM me what the usergroup is called and what the board is called. I will add moderators to the LS forums over the course of the next couple of days.

If you can't see your LS forums, please log out, and then log back it, that may fix the issue. If not, PM me or post here.

So are the avatars really allowed as 150x150 now? If so...FIELD DAY!

150 x 150 for avatars, I will assume most users use at least 1024x768.
No animations for avatars please.

I will revising the sig image sizes though, some are simply too huge. There will be enough time (as in weeks) to adjust sigs to fit the new guidelines. Read: guidelines, not really strict rules. However, animations in sigs are also discouraged.

explore new board options

As some of you may know vBulletin is a commercial product. As such, it does include many things that were attainable in phpbb2 through mods only.

I felt that the community is best served with a solution that is easy to use and full of features without to require me to invest a lot of time into making things work (even though I basically spend my entire weekend on it and it's not done yet).

Anyway, please explore the options you now have available to you, the UserCP on the upper left corner of every page is a good starting point.

We do have an ignore function. To ignore someone you will need to click on their user name, then you have the option to select "Ignore this user".

Please check your thread subscription, currently you may be subscribed to every thread you post to. I am working on fixing that. Edit: Should be fixed now, you will not be auto-subscribed anymore.

I can already tell that the performance is a lot better than it was before. Still trying to get used to vBulletin. :P

Should have added this originally. Thanks Sculli for all the work you're putting into this.

LS forum access still doesn't work - I am looking into it, no ETA though
/sigh, I thought I had it figured out, back to the admincp I go...

Update on the LS forum issue. Seems like the root of it is that I can currently only make it work if I would give all LS usergroups permission to post to all private LS forums. This is caused by the differences between the way phpbb and vB handle private forum permissions.

I am looking into a way to fix this, don't stay up for it though.

Sweet, now I get to use the good one I originally had lined up that I couldn't get to look good at the old size limit.

My avatar is broken ;_;

On noes!

Send me a link to it, will have a look to see what the problem is.

LS AREA FIXED - WHEE!!!

I have verified that everyone should be able to access their private forums. If you can not get to them, then it is because I mis-clicked in one of the 1406 clicks it took to set everyone up. Send me a PM with the name of the usergroup and the name of the LS forum and I will fix it.

Commodore64 style added, for those who are truly hardcore, or some such ...

I'm loving the Commodore64 style, you have done a lot of awesome work Sculli, so glad ya came back!

Just wanted to say Thank you to Sculli for all the hard work you put into this move. I know it wasnt easy and you put in a lot of hours.

I will say that it isn't working well with Opera browser. I know other VB boards that I use with Opera work fine. May be something to look into or you can simply tell me to use Firefox. :D
