what is up with the GM's, i've been mpk'd before and they have done nothing for me about it, i'm up in sky tonight.... and Zip was there. So ya know, we get it and stuff but something happened and we wiped, we only had like 5 people, so these gil sellers come and take zippy... after we made it clear ya know we had people comming, so anyways. I run my lil rng ass down and rng attack one, and voke another. rng/war 4tw, and i zone them so these gil sellers wipe, they call a GM on me.
Next thing i know i'm sitting in GM jail with this guy warnin me and i guess they can scan pty chat because i mentioned it... so now my account is flagd.
So i say this, WTF is up with SE? They never do anything for us but when we do something so little i get flagd, Bullshit....

Well...

technically they've done nothing wrong - you wiped and they got the NM - and you've MPKed them = something bad.

Now, I agree that it sucks and I would've done the same thing ><
 
they need to have special rules for RMTs

I won't MPK any real honest player but I'll MPK RMTs all day

well, to add at that, I won't MPK if they just claimed or whatever, I'll bitch and complain and cheer on other ppl that are trying to MPK them, but I don't think anything's wrong w/ MPK'n them if they steal from you.
 
I heard the rules are much more stricted in sky then any other :/ that does blow tho.
 
If you are going to MPK someone never say anything about it in the chatlogs, and deny it like pregnent 14 year old. If there is nothing in the chatlogs and you adamantly refuse you had any negative intentions, you will get away with it. You could say something along the line of, "I was moving the monsters away since they looked like they were going to aggro. Turns out I wasn't able to save them. T.T"

If you do it that way, I doubt you'd be in trouble. There's nothing in the TOS against being dumb, so take advantage of it.
 
"Looking for Coffer" is usually a very valid excuse and it works most of the times.
 
Well SE did mention no tolerance when it came to sky :|
 
You also need to get warned three times before they temporarily ban your account for x ammount of time, first one being 24 hours... so even if they didn't get banned for what they did then, they still might get banned later on.
So a smart gil sellers LS of 30 people could MPK you 90 times before they get temporarily banned for 24 hours.

Now, they also investigate it, so if they just "accidentally" aggroed the things they MPK you with, they can most likely get away with it.

Now, if you would have aggroed the statues without attacking them and ran to zone, there would be a 95% chance you could get away with it unless you do the same thing over and over again. Mainly, you just need a good excuse for MPK'ing them.

So basically, you can learn to avoid the GM's... Heh.

The flagging rule doesn't apply to some more serious "crimes" though, such as hacking etc...
 
Damn GMs and their chat logs.. I couldn't talk my way out of mpkin some gil sellers once
 
Here's something you might all like to know....A few weeks ago some people were trying to MPK at Roc and a Senior GM appeared and warped an entire LS to jail to read them the riot act, pretty cool actually....BUT....the next day at the Lord of Onzozo I was MPK'ed by Large and the GM sent a form letter message saying "We are aware of this incident and will investigate" and guess what....Large was right back less than an hour later. Some GMs do their jobs with zeal but some of them don't do it at all....

P.S. Large is a member of ForgottenShadows LS (formerly RedSky) and they do 90% of all the MPK'ing at the HNM spawns I've witnessed so be warned and be alert for them. Other members include Cows, Bettylily, Kriseman, Calmitekiboss and a host of others....and watch for their bot "Goodbey".

Except, they didn't steal, did they now?

A rare spawn is a rare spawn, someone gets first dibs, but when that someone fails then the next party is up. First party had their fair chance and failed, just because they tried first doesn't give them an indefinite claim.

MPKing is wrong, no matter what.
 
we all need to start seriously constantly MPKing the gilsellers >.> not enough of that around here :P don't go outta the way but if you are there and they get it.. do it.. hell.. I do if I'm running through kuftal and see them with Amamet.
 
I know of Kriseman - he used to (or might still) camp Stroper Chyme 24/7....I mean, always! I think I even read a thread on here about him being there for like 6 months straight or something.

My fiancee and I were counter-camping him in Ordelle's Cave a few months back and he stood in one place, never moved to check other spawn points. I thought he was a bot. We went back to the cave a few weeks later and he was still there. We counter-camped him again for awhile. I might mention we claimed him 6/7 times also.

My fiancee was playing his DRK and he did some sort of quest or mission fight (cannot remember exactly what it was) but we invited everyone in the area just to be safe...and OMG Kriseman helped!! I was so surprised...I think he even spoke English. So, I can't say anything bad about him. He didn't bitch and moan that we were camping the same NM as him, and he even ended up helping us when asked. Just sharing my experience.

So let me get this straight...

You wiped to Zip.
The gilsellers got it (the didn't steal, they waited till you wiped)
So you MPK'd them.

...and you don't understand why you got jailed?

sorry that was suppost to read "MPKing Gilsellers stealing or not is fine by me." I love to watch em die. :)

MPKing is wrong, but with gilsellers it feels so right, hard for a retired to understand much about it. No offence, but if you deal with them everyday and you know how they work and that they steal when they can just makes you feel a certain way about em. I wanna play this game with other people that are playing the game to have fun, I don't want to compete against people that take the item they get, and go sell it online. it's a job then, and we all have those outside of game life.
