I'm not sure if this belongs in Good Times, because we found it funny, or here because SE is so lame. Either way:

I hit Lv.29 with my Ninja. Party breaks and I am perusing the Katana selection (or lack thereof) at the Kazham AH, when I spot the Fukuro. I notice the +1 Eva stat and decide that two of them must be mine. As soon as I decide this, I get an invite. Feeling that I will be even lamer than usual without these weapons I shoot a /tell to my friend in Jeuno. Here's how it went down:

<me> Hey man, can you grab me 2 Fukuro and mail them to me?

<Bigdogg> What is it?

<me> Lv.29 Katana, Fukuro.

<Bigdogg> Where is it?

<me> It's in AH under Katana foo.

<Bigdogg> What's it called again?

<me> Fukuro son, damn.

<Bigdogg> Funny. Whats it called?

<me> ...are you serious?

<me> BD, are your language filters on by chance?

<Bigdogg> Yeah. How do I turn that shit off?

<me> Config/Global/Language Filters

<Bigdogg> What's it called again?

<me> -.-; Fukuro.

<Bigdogg> Sent. Weak shit man. Really weak shit.

WTF?!?!? Stupid SE actually makes a weapon available for public trade, then filters the name THEY gave it as though it were profanity? What first-year intern came up with this stroke of genius.

They filter out part of the SAM af helmet name:

Myochin Kabuto = Myo???? ?abuto

I wanted a "Bone Ring+1" and it came out like this "???? ?ing +1" w00t

Bone ring +1

SE is stupid <.<;

And yet they leave such choice phrases such as {Fine Jerkin} and {Are you alone?} in the auto-translate. I actually kept my Fine Jerkin just for the auto translate fun it gives me ^^

Makes me wanna find someone with THF AF2 to auto-trans.. :?

This is why my language filters re never turned on...that and filtering language is just lame anyways.

Perhaps whats worse is that people get so offended by certain arrangements of syllables that they feel the need to completely censor them. I find the entire concept ridiculous. Filtering language seems too totalitarian to me. I say and listen to whatever the hell I want.

Thus you easily shut off the language filter in your config.
