Actually I just wanted to share these pics as I'm really quite proud.
In our new apartment I get to play around again. This is by far one of my favorite things to do. It's actually quite relaxing when I can spend hours painting, and I'm REALLY meticulous about it. So on goes the Pink Floyd and Morch sets to work.
A nice flat latex on walls with little action (not a high traffic area, little to no HANDS on the walls) with a high gloss urethane over makes for pretty cool accent walls.
Well the walls were each 240 cm high. A nice round number is 10 and I was very happy with 24 cm thick stripes.
I ended up staggering the gloss effect on either wall, I figured it may help give more dimension.
I can't wait til I'm an home owner.
Shitty thing about renting is the condition past tenants and lazy landlords leave the apartments in. The foundation shifting left a nasty crack right across this wall. I've tried in friends houses to patch up cracks and clean them up nicely.. it's almost pointless.
(Lighting Fixture is HIDEOUS and being replaced asap)
Opposite the accent walls are all fresh and crisp grey walls. I rather like the contrast.
