Dave and Tim tours are the best.

Try Warehouse or even Crash as far as him only playing chords. I really don't see where you think all he plays is chords. I have played guitar 6 years or so and you definatley have to own amazing finger stretching ability and know what you are doing to play most of his shit.

Actually, you can make Black Ink with Calamary so it's not the true cause of the price increase. If anything, it should go down since more fishes can do the recipe.

You need two Cone Calamary, where as you'd only need one Nebimonite. Back before they added Cones, Nebs and Monsters were the only thing you could catch with crayfish paste. Now it's Nebs, Monsters, and retardo-squids.

I'm not much of a fisherman so I don't know what the calamary/nebs ratio is on catching them, but I could see the price of black ink go up if Nebs became rarer, period. But in that case, there is an alternative. Even if it takes 2 Calamary to make one ink, each bite (other then monster) still provide the material to make the ink.

Granted, 2 calamary vs 1 neb to make the ink, so technically 2 stacks of fish vs 1 stack. But is'nt calamary like half the price of nebs? And if not, spread that on all the HQ you get, you should'nt see a difference, if any, on the cost to make Black Ink.

I have'nt made ink in ages, but I think the problem is more that few people know you can make ink with calamary, so they don't sell, meaning fishermen don't put them on AH and put the Nebimonite for more, since they throw away Calamary, i.e. the bait/ time to.

I could be wrong tho for that last part. :wink:

but nebs are also insanely easy to catch, i mean, i can catch them somewhat easily at 30, and with a shrip lure. can you catch calamary with lures? not as far as i know...

Exactly.

What do you think dave does when he's hangin out with Trey Anastasio or Tim Reynalds? Play lead? Why do you think he had 11 people playin with him at Bonaroo?

Dave is energetic and charismatic and he puts on a hell of a show. His taste in music has brought some awesome musicians together to make some great stuff.

But dave isn't that great of a guitarist.

Most as in..? dave has so much music out there, I bet you'd be hard put to name half the tracks he has recorded. I know I would. Are saying more than half of it is picking?

One thing to remember though is that the rhythm section is every bit as important as the lead section in a band. I would say that dave's rhythm is damn near flawless, and that makes him an excellent rhythm guitarist IMO. We can't all be Trey!

Let me rephrase that. He played Rhythm with the Beatles if george wasn't foolin around with his scitar.

He cuold play lead very well too. The Song "Julia" that he wrote about his mother is a prime example.

But for the beatles, he was Rhythm, George was lead, Paul was base, and Ringo was, of course, the Drummer.

Dave has some good licks, and they aren't too tough but they're definitely above average in terms of pop music. His drummer is fucking awesome though.

Yeah he is one of the best drummers I've seen. Along with Danny Carry(sp?) and Mitch Mitchell. Damn I need to get out of Iraq cause your sig is driving me nuts :evil:
