and decided to start drawing again. Here's a little preview of what I'm working on :) . I'm not very good at coloring so I'll be asking help from Qserver's finest

I'm not good enough to criticize, so I'll just say it looks really good Jaz =) I'm impressed, I didn't know you were so talented. Nice work!

Edit: The only issue I have is that you picked Zodiaque's(and others, obviously) character model. :P

Hey Kipa I thought you hated being a black mage LOL

(thats my friends char model)

nice work regardless

Mouth looks a little wierd but great start you have going.

Ahem! Correction, that's mah Genna I'm drawing :spiteful: . Zodiaque pwns though so I can see the similarities . Thanks for the comments!! I'll post cleaner pics of the progress when I have the time.

Fixed. '_'

As far as I can see the mouth looks great, so does the outstretched arm. The right arm looks a bit bulky for a Mithra arm and her upper torso is shifted too low. Shift the breasts up a little higher and make them um... more... perky? Right? Right now she looks like she's not (even though she isn't) wearing a bra. It also gives the look of being older, less toned. Mithra are agile, small, and lithe. Try to stick to those three words and it'll look great. (Also a good idea for reference shots is to look at smaller female bodybuilders and how their body is shaped. The only problem is that looking for them may get kinda scary.) In the background you might want to have him farther away. It may look cool at first, but she's got a katana in her back. >_>; Or will soon. Blur his lines a bit, possibly using a thin pencil or pen for the outline. When colored, it can give the sense of being in the fray with action all around, but the camera is focused only on her. (Like a really good sports photograph.)

Sorry for the critique. ^^;; It's looking great.

Zodiaque's Gimp?

>>>is the Quetzcoatl Gimp

never heard of her o.0

I don't mind critiques so it's all good :) . I see what you're saying and since it's pretty early in this pictures evolution I'll be making some changes.. starting with the perking up of the boobies. I used model viewer to guage the proportions and that's probably why I didn't notice it. I took 2 semesters of anatomy in college so I'll try to incorporate what I know (musculature) with the athletic female build (not too fond of the female body builder look especially when going for the sexy-athletic nature of the mithra physique, imho). I've always been a big fan of Jim Lee's work so I use his techniques a lot..well used too ;)
