Shootfighting

Was wondering if anyone had some experience in this? Local gym around my house is the only one approved by _____ (forgot) in South Fla. My only background in MMA is basic wrestling, and i was considering trying to learn this discipline.

The owners gave me a quick breakdown, basically told me it was a mixture of stand up with grappling. Wanted to know if anyone here has some experience and could give me a bit of info.

they chain the dudes to the table, and then tape one of their hands together, and past that im not really sure what the point is. tho im sure being chained to the table and taped to your opponent provides for some very entertaining knockouts.

Is the skinny beard a requirement? Looks like all of the fights I saw in high school.

I think it'd be better if they kidnapped the contestants kids before each fight, and tell em they gotta win to get their kids back.
