Pick a job you enjoy only works if you get to use it. How many paladins picked the job they enjoyed, only to find themselves losing exp left and right and shunned by the people they died for, when that merit party comes up? That fast track to 75 Bard doesn't have that problem, nor the exranger-turned-exblack mage-turned warrior, monk or ninja bandwagonner who's only specialty is moghouse -> jobchange. They're getting the stuff they want. They're getting more exp than the play for fun people. What is fun? Is sitting in your moghouse with your flag up as your favorite job dragoon more fun than participating in all the content XI has to offer as your least favorite job, Bard? The simple act of currently being your favorite job doesn't mean much if you rarely get to do anything with it.
