Today I was in Lower Jeuno for a little while visiting some friends, and I saw shouts for teleports and help. It was the normal thing. But then I saw people shouting back "Quit spamming" and other crap like that. These shouts are normal, asking other people for help, and are the best way to find help when you don't really have any.

Why can't these idiots just turn on their shout filters? They're spamming too by telling the others to shut up.

So to solve their problem......they add even more shouting. O_o

Yea that is the real pain in the ass. Shouts happen, get over it, its a fact of life in all cities especialy lower Jeuno. You want to avoid it put the filter up. End of the story. People want help they will ask for help, people want a Teleport they damn well will ask for it. If their is a particular person that is being an ass, as happens in the starter cities from time to time blist and be done with it.

Hehe... It's funny because Jeuno used to be quiet from the useless chatter but now it as bad as (if not worse) than Bastok. Bastok is HORRIBLE! Sandoria is up there as well. Windy (I don't know if it's because it is broken into 8 million sections), is really quiet.
 
i don't know, if i had the choice between keeping my shout filter up in Jeuno/Bastok/Sandoria or wandering the crazy ass maniacal maze that is Windurst.....i'll take the former any day.
 
Reminds me why I'm glad to be Windurstian... I know the city like the back of my hand, and there's almost no shouting.... Heck, there is no shouting outside of Windurst Woods. It's like Ru'Lude Gardens in Jeuno. Peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. Go look up a map of the city at some point. Once you've seen the whole thing from overhead it'll start to make sense how everything's connected.

Hehehe! Whenever I hear "Windurst suxz!", I know it's someone who came all that way to do the Rank 2-3 mission. Elseway, it's too far from the Dunes to be of any interest to most players. Maybe that's why there isn't a lot of shouting going about.

Yes, Windurst is a huge city. Yes, everything is spreaded around. But no, it doesn't take long to travel from location to location when you know the trick: Windurst Warp Service. Four Tarutarus who are giving out free Warps across the city. There are two sets:

- WinWater: East of the Optistery, down a flight of stairs
- WinWoods: Next to the Chocobo Stables
and
- WinWalls: On top of the AH
- WinWaters: On top of the Orastery

Oh, and as for stupid shouts, how 'bout "HELP ME!!!! I'M BEING PWNED BY A GOBLIN!!!!"... without the <pos>?
 
Why don't people just edit the colors of the /sh to the same color as /say?
That's what I did to combat it....but if theres spam and it bugs someone that much /blist them and be done with it right? People who spam foolish amounts can't be that smart anyways, and blisting them will save you further conversation with them later on in life ^^
 
Bastok is bad for shouts, it's also really bad for Noobs asking me for help. If I don't go there with anon on and naked I will usually get some noob asking me for money. I want to know how the hell they think i'm so rich? And then they get pissy when I tell them to farm for it like everyone else....seriously I don't think I've ever broken the 100k in my pocket yet.

Today in Jeuno, the shouting was horrible. Actually, the past two nights. Last night (I'm pretty sure it was last night), someone kept shouting "i need lovin. any mithra want to marry me and get some action?" And stupid crap like that.

Today was the worst. I was running around, and I saw /s, /sh, and /em from one person asking for free handouts for an Emperor's Hairpin. I also saw stuff like "Come here and give me a blowjob and I'll consider giving you one." Stupid immature crap like that. So I turned on every chat filter I could. It felt like something was missing, but I didn't care.
 
This same person tried to buy my hairpin for 200k, they said its all they have, and i said no(waaaay to low + i use it with my main). They insisted that they only had 200k and i said no again.
Then they say ok ok, 300k. Bah /blist add <r>.

No free handouts. Unless, its from a friend quitting or something.

this another personal shot at me swish <_< *sigh* I only asked them to stop spamming for there AF 3 times and you go off and rant about me you also didn't mention they weren't even offering a reward for the coffer which was even worse
