I dunno if this is the appropriate place to put this thread. If it's wrong place, i'll apologize and admin can move it.

Ok! recently after the new updates there have been alot of shouts in jeuno for selling stuffs, like an open night market. Example;

/sh Peacock Charm for sale 10,000,000G like over 7 times
/sh Utsusemi for sale 200K like over 6 times

Not long we will see ppl shouting for rabbit charms, kraken club and all those expensive shit that are suppose to be on AH.

I know the reason though, it's the tax system on AH, but plz stop spamming bazaars in jeuno ok. The lag is bad enough with ppl spamming emotes, and shouts from ppl talking to other ppl from different jeuno levels ><. The AH is there for a reason, if you wanna sell something like a Peacock charm for 10M plz put it up on AH and pay the 200k tax like evryone else or dun sell it. I hate shouts except ppl who need help for missions and AF. They can shout as it's only way to get help.

I will keep shouting to sell high priced items when I have them until SE fixes the problem... I encourage you all to report me to GM's as they can't do anything to me specifically they can get very annoyed at all the reports (like they obviously did to make these changes in the first place).

But its ok because Im not in Jeuno very often, so you will only see my messages when Im passing through... Im not bored enough to sit in jeuno for hours trying to bazaar something thats never guaranteed.

Or for that matter put an item on the AH that will cost me over a million in taxes before its sold.

It will cost you 200,100 gil to put a peacock charm for sale for 10mil.

Now...considering that selling a peacock charm will NET you 10 MILLION gil...I think that whining about the new AH prices is moot. Put it in your bazaar, or just sell it at the ah. You're going to be rich anyway. Or, perhaps, you could sell it for less. 6mil will only cost you 120,100gil. And so forth. Get over it. *Shrug*

Are you not listening!

200k IF it sells within 3days... sometimes those things don't sell for weeks.. you do the MATH!

10mil in addition to what I already have is nothing, Im sorry maybe I sound greedy but 10mil wont get me where I want to be... so selling it for much less is just a dissapointment... I have Goldsmithing addiction to feed and kids that need new Kraken Clubs this Christmas and maybe donate some upgraded dynamis weapons to some poor orphans.

bitch all you want about the AH prices but they are not going away. When they first increased the taxes in Jeuno (by the 500g or whatever they were different from the main towns back in the day) people did fucking demonstraitions in game.... and it stayed the same.

Perhaps we could suggest that they change it so that only when the item sells do you get charged... i think that would make the most sense, as that is how real Auctions work anyway '-';; but either way the fees are likely to stay the same. they gotta do something to keep inflation down... to bad it hurts so damned much when you get lucky on a drop though '-'; /sigh.

500G is a relatively small issue to get over I think, this new Tax system is so unbelievably wrong on so many levels and could of been fixed a variety of better ways... I have no idea what the designers at SE were thinking... Im just thankful Im coming out of one of the top schools in North America for Game Programming and Design and hope I can make a difference with my opinion when Im on a Dev team.

I will stop shouting once my stuff sells, whether its through AH, Bazaar or Shouting Im gonna do my best to adveritse in the most ways necessary and avoid the expense on the AH.

I don't see why anyone should be happy about this, your letting SE take money out of your pockets just for the "privledge" of contributing to making a player run economy work. And what are they doing to reward us for this? Well lowering prices of drops that funded HNM Hunters and Nerfing every high level fishermans profit by more then 50%.

I get it, there trynig to raise the "VALUE" of GIL while simultaneously dropping prices on gear previously hard to get.. but thats not what this economy needed. We do not need a game where everything is handed to us and there is no work involved. Make all that effort put into levelling a craft and hours of camping a NM continue to mean something.

200k is a lot of money, whether you have 10mil or not.

Out of curiosity Deci, what school do you go to?

Maybe Square never intended for items to go for millions and millions of gil and this is their way of fixing the market prices. People will be taking a financial hit if their items don't sell for now, but everything will balance eventually. Ever heard of the "invisible hand?" :)

Oh, you misunderstand Deci, i am not happy about it. I sell hi-priced crap all the time, for my LS and i eat the fkn tax... or at least i had in the past, probably not anymore. That said, i understand why they did it, though i think the way the went about it is flawed. your prescious fishing causes too much gil to influx into the market, causing all prices to rise because of inflation.. this wouldn't be a problem if everyone could/choose to fish i guess, BUT SE has nerfed the craft so much that skilling up is nearly impossible (trying to catch catfish to get to 25 or whatever... and oh look... crab... crab... crab... pug... crab... snapped line... nothing nothing nothing etc. /cry /hate SE).

Anyway, i doubt they will take it away, no matter how much people complain. The market got super inflated, espeacially because of caps, and it needs to be popped a bit before everything rises in price to reflect the large ammount of gil that was added to the economy, but that is kept by very few within it. Like i said, arguing that the system rather then the fee should be changed might be more effective. perhaps the tax should be put on the buyer like Bazaars, or maybe it should be taken out of the gil sent to you by the AH once it is sold rather then you having to pay it to post the item each time. /shrug. Or, here is a novel idea... why not make it so items can stay up for more then three days? that limit always seemed lame to me anyway... i can take items down if need be, don't need them to send them back to me. but meh... this argument is pointless.

as a final note, apparently your PCC is dropped by BCNM now... you might wanna put it on the AH for less then 10mil and sell it before the price bombs, because i am sure it will once more people catch on.

HAHA!! no way!

Everyone'd be all over it by now if that were the case.

Yep I realize its dropped in BCNM now, Ive heard about that. Im not sure whats gonna happen to the price now, not sure it will bomb though unless its as common a drop as the Venomous Claw...and if it was I think it would of already dropped and had many on the AH as well.

But like I said they are increasing the value of gil by doing this so no matter what I get it will still be proportional to the value of gil and my buying power with the amount of gil I get from the sale.

As much as I don't like this percentage tax system, it's actually penalizing the greedy people. You can easily sell the peacock charm or whatever expensive item people talk about that I won't be able to use for a while for 100 gil. The tax will be less than 100 gil hopefully and then you can increase you profit margin. The tax is only 200,000 or whatever if that's the percentage of your asking price.

As for shouting prices, yeah, that sucks. Just put all the bazaars of heavy items in one area.... how about the gardens in Jeuno? Very rarely are people there... and it'll be alike a mega shopping mall with all the bazaarers there..

The only people this patch hurts is the ones that have no money and need to make money in the new system.

People that already have a steady gil flow and money saved up just had their gil valued at a lot more then it was... its like making a weeks earnings in today's world and travelling back in time 70 years to spend it.

If all items go down in price that I am perfectly happy because Buying Power will still remain the same...

ie. Peacock used to sell for 10-12mil and I could buy 2 Scorpion Harnesses with that money...

Now Peacock Charm sells for 8-9 mil and I can buy 2 Scorpion Harnesses with that money...

Nothing changes.
