Ok so I know I don't talk alot of trash about people and this thread won't do so either. I am just a little frustrated over this. I joined BoL about 1 month ago, and in my experience over the last month I have met and had a blast with everyone in this ls. Everyone has been helpfull and EXTREMELY nice. Here I am 2 days maybe 1 week into my membership, and everyone helps us get sky access in one night? Come on people stop the bashing, if you are not a part of BoL how can you say anything about it? These people have took me under their wing when it comes to end game. Ive gotten to experience sky even thogh I am not at the minimum level, and I have gotten a successfull run on the first try for Dynamis-Jueno, as well as many other first experiences. Now I know from past history that BoL has made some mistakes, but let me ask what Ls hasn't? Come on people stop it. This game is supposed to be FUN!!

Now I will leave this with this final thought: (yes now everyone will flame me)
Are you bashing because your just plain jealous? Or do you have nothing else better to do?
 
Peregrine is just a horses ass. BoL used to pull some crap when they first started, but they've grown into a pretty good shell from what I can see.

and this goes for anything in RL or ffxi.
 
it's an old issue. honestly a lot of people have pretty much forgotten what it really was lol.

it's always easy to take offense where none was intended, and that's what happened a lot. Honestly i think BoL is okay, and i think the only reason it seems like a big deal is because a few people are complaining a lot.

just ignore them, play the game, have fun. so what if they bitch? it doesn't mean anything unless it's true.

BoL has plenty of whm's, and dont forget I am only lvl 67, so not of much use yet, actually I am more of a burden.

And why does this bother me so, because I needed a raise the other day and the jerkoff whm wouldnt raise me because I was BoL, come on grow up a little

Not everyone is smart enough to seperate a LINKSHELL from a few Morons. Once there is a member who is an Idiot, then of course the entire Linkshell must be like that. I have nothing against BOL. I have alot of shit against a few of thier members, but hey the great thing about FFXI /blist and move on^^.
 
I get mad when I see people bash BoL too, it's one of the best LS I was ever in.

I'll admit, I've flung my share of poo at BoL.

My reasons are simple, though I haven't bothered to do any flinging for while. BoL supposedly has/had a code of conduct, one that member felt compelled to trot out whenever someone made an accusation against one of the shell's members. The big one being "MPK gets you banned!". Except that that wasn't true. Which is fine, frankly, you can run your LS however you want. Just don't lie about it. The truth was "MPK gets you banned.... if we already don't like you, if we have no use for you, and/or if you question the leadership of the shell." And like I said, that's fine. Just be up front about it.
 
BoL used to have some assbags in it, and pulled some dumb stuff. Since then they've really cleaned up, booted those that were bad for the shell, and over the past 6 months or so have become one of the finer end game shells on our server.

Almost anyone that has a problem with BoL either relates to an event that happened long ago, probably with a member that is no longer with BoL, or is some cry baby with an ingrown c*** hair that can't think of anything better to bitch about.

And is stigmatas trying to write a Haiku (sp?) or something?
 
no one like to hear bad thing about there shells. every shell has most likely missed up once twice. bol just has one the darkest. <plus bol member like to bring up pass event from other ls, but dont like it when it back fire on them> people just dont wont let the pass die
 
I typically don't have a problem with particular LSs so much as certain people in them. Every LS has "bad seeds" but lately BoL has been cleaning its act up and that's something to respect. The only person from BoL you'll see me "fling poo" at is Decidence :) *flings poo at Decidence* <3 you darling ;)

Holy crap, that's stupid and wrong. Talk about asshats stereotyping. Hell, I even Raise people that I'm not very fond of.
 
I was sick of all the end-game LS bashing and bullshit drama before I was even able to get into one. For that tidbit about the whm not raising you because of the LS you were in... see.. thats a prime example. I don't bash any of the LS's cause 1) I've never been in them and 2) there's some quality players in all the ones I know of. But jerkoffs like the guy that won't raise depending on your pearl.. its those people that outweigh any possible experience I could gain. I see people get sick of all the bullshit so much that it actually forces them out of the game. Fortunately there's not much for me anyways in sky/gods with the exception of making some good gil.

Sorry sorry... Just getting sick of all the Lv60+ noobs. Noobs make people sell their characters, which are bought my noobs, which make more people quit and sell their characters. I unfortunately don't see many "quality players" in this game post Yhoator Jungle areas... Not that I've partied with anyway.
 
I am getting sick of people flaming BoL, too. I just joined about 2 months ago since I wanted to experience endgame with a good, sold LS. A friend referred me to them after he joined and they are alot of good people.

Granted, I'm not in it for the items (I have had some greed issues just resolved) and it's a real treat to crush some of the stronger mobs in the game I wold usually not fight.

They have become a tight night family HNMLS with decent leadership and organized runs with sound methods of victory. So forget the BoL of old and prepare for the revolution!
 
If it makes you feel any better the WHM probably couldn't be bothered to raise you and made up an excuse.

Well what is there to say...used to pull some dodgey stuff, appear to have cleaned up, end of story really.

Besides...aren't you basically doing what you are complaining about? people bash BoL for a few "Bad seeds", and then you complain about quetzy because a few "bad seeds" bashed your shell.

End game is full of drama, if you think one or two flames by peregrine where in the end its pere vs quetzy, is "bashing your linkshell" then i highly suggest looking up an old BoL (or any big god ls) flame (if they still exist...i notice the flame board is now 2 pages long) or just avoid the flameboard all together.

Anyway...yay drama!
