Welp, this turned out to be a shady deal. But here it goes. First off, I dont post here

To start out, I was farming White Steel at the Sozu Rogberry camp. I met up with a couple of friends that were camping the Thief Knife. I joined up with them and we went about our buisness.

Hours into the day, a RDM is here trying to solo a pot for his RDM testomony, we ask if he would like any help and he says sure. We go about killing things for a good hour and Sozu Rogberry pops, we get claim, and kill him. What do you know ... the knife drops. I pass, Rodger passes and Smg lots, we worked out a plan for the knife. Roughly 4 mins later, the random RDM casts a lot, lots higher than Smg and wins. He seems like he purposly DC'd himself. And has yet to show back up. Yes, we should have kicked him, I know, but he lotted at the last few seconds, and before we realized what was going on, he won.

This RDM name is "Noisy," he is Japanese. If you guys know him, or maybe are friends, I would appricate if you would speak to him about this. We were just trying to be nice and giving a helping hand. I guess this is what we get for helping a random stranger. We did not think he'd lot, because he didnt say anything at all. This is honestly the last time I'm helping a random person, ever.

And thats why you don't immediately pass on items like that. No offense, but it was you and your buddies fault for carelessly passing with someone you don't know in the party.
 
I've heard this one too many times, lol. Go figure. :roll: I guess we had too much faith in a random person.
 
I guess my question is, does anyone know this RDM. If you could speak to him and please explain whats going on, maybe this is a whole big understanding. Or so I'd hope.
 
Should've given Quartermaster to someone...

heres a good question, did you go there to camp sozu? and also, did the rdm help kill the mob? honestly, anyone that is in the pt when its killed has the right to lot the item.

Yes. Techincally. He helped fight a pot with Rodger that aggroed due to Smg casting Dia for the claim.

Wouldn't that kinda screw the RDM over if the test dropped?

But yeah you were too trusting...that guy is still a major ass though, He didn't claim and he wasn't really needed to kill it (hell people solo sozu...i would imagine 3 people could kill it and a pot with little difficulty). Also he probably cannot even use the knife he just feels like grabbing an easy 50mil.
 
I saw him in the temple not that long ago when I went for my fourth test (which I didn't get). He kept following me around (probably hoping I'd take one of the two pots he'd drug to the zone), but I ignored him as best I could. For some reason I was more at ease with all the tonberries and dolls walking around than I was with him.
 
I saw him at the front of Ugg near Thief NM just two nights ago... 70RDM/35NIN. He wasn't doing anything but staring at a wall.
I feel really bad that you guys got screwed, but kick the random nub next time. I have been /sea all noisy for awhile after first reading this.

There was a Thief Knife that sold last night for 16M. I would wanna think this dumbass probally put it up on the AH as his mule. I'm not sure, I have yet to see the seller or Noisy on since yesterday night. *sigh* :roll:
 
I am sure it was him then. 16M is a price only someone that would want a fast sale with no legwork would sell for.

Have not seen this fuck on at all myself, the only thing I can say is at least you or your partners were not Temple of Ug fixtures and have camped Sozuu for days on end only to be treated like this. A very shitty break indeed but you must admit for only camping him for a day (or few hours) it was an extremely lucky position to be in in the first place. :?

If I see this jap slime he will get an MPK from me I promise ^^d
 
Damn, who got a thf knife for 16mil. That is a nice investment to turn around and atleast double your money.
 
I see Noisy in Giddeus all the time. I remember seeing him because I thought it was funny when he was standing next to "Jooooooo".
 
I wasnt even there to camp Sozu Rogberry, I was just farming White Steel while doing some house work. Yeah we got lucky, but thats the name of this game majority of the time. :?

Oh if I see him about, I'm gonna be right behind you with my Mijiin. :D

Oh i agree, but if this happened to someone like Biggy who has been down there the last century it would be atrocious. Just trying to shed a little light on a shitty situation .. :(
 
Biggy has been down there for about 2 weeks now... poor guy... i feel bad for all that time hes spending on the NM
