So how significant of a defense and evasion boost does signet seem to give against evens and under? I got the update finished while I slept, I am stuck at work for now, and due to family and friend obligations I probably really won't be able to log in until some point Saturday night. I am curious.

Please post the job, level, con of the mob, the mob type, and your impressions of the change. :D

Probably going to be the same as the exp boost. +25% if you're duoing and decreases by... what, 5%? for every extra body added.

Well that really would be significant, especially if coupled with food consumption. I was under the impression that this was how it worked:

Exp bonus
for duo's and up but only on mobs even and under but only in conquest areas.

Defensive bonus and evasion bonus
Was for everyone (soloist to full alliance) in conquest areas on mobs even and under.

No Tp loss while resting and bonus hHp
Was for everyone (soloist to full alliance) in conquest areas regaurdless of mob levels.

Yeah you're right. Only the exp bonus applies to 2-5 person groups, the other boosts are universal.

I haven't tested it that much, but while playing around in Uggalepih trying to get a Flickering Lantern, on BLU72/NIN37 (mobs were high EP-low DC to me I believe), I didn't really notice an evasion boost. I *did* however, notice what seemed to be a signifigant defense boost. Couldn't say for certain, since I'd never fought those mobs on BLU before. I'll hafta try fighting Garlaige coffer mobs on my WHM; I'm much more familiar with them and the damage they do to me, as well as my evasion rate.

I got in some time tonight. Quick observations is that as a level 30 nin/war easy beetles were cake, decent beetles I took ~3 hits total without using any powders other than shadows, decent Ba's would get me down to ~ 80% hp by the end of the fights using blind and shadows, even Orc Warriors got me to about 55% health at the end of the fight but again that was only with shadows and blind. Slow in all these cases would make them even easier.

When resting I seemed to start at 16 hHp on the first tick instead of the normal 10 (or was it 11).

I will try this out as a War/Mnk or Mnk/War at some point to see how things go as a class that can't evade as much. Overall the damage reduction is nice, I seemed to avoid 50-70% of attacks, ramping up from easy to even. Downtime between fights feel decently shorter. So far all in all a good update.

Duoing Evens would be nonstop slaughter.

All these numbers are approximations by my "eyes" and are subject to errors. :D

It might be a coincidence but to me the new signet has done only bad. Pre update I was owning rumble crawlers on my ninja. Yesterday post update they did not miss me once and one even managed to kill me... Bug?

signet

all i know is that since im a mnk the hHP rocks i now start at 31-36-41-46-51-56-61-66-71-76 as you can see pattern is it increases by 5 each tick wich brings me back up to my 1900 hp much faster, not sure if the 5 increase is based on my max hp or universal.

I was in Onzozo levelling my NPC. I mischarmed a Torama and coupled with R0 Lag it got me down to 210 HP or so before I was able to recharm (luckily, or I could've died).

I then started resting, with 1300 HP. Didn't take long, at all, to rest it all back up. Infact, I started laughing at how amazing it is. Very noticable.

Let's just say, powerleveling my best friend Mike last night went smooth as shit with the upped defense. I'll be PLin' him solo until he's around 25'ish.

The evasion boost(against DCs) is pretty significant, the defense, not so much. I mean, you get hit for less, and it shows, but the boost is just not as much compared to the to evasion(evade about half the time.)
