Well, I was trying to form a party today in juno, and i ask silvereyes (who ive never met before) if she would like to party. At first, i figure ok, afk or something. However this was not the case. A few minutes later, one of the party members asks her to party and she tells him I dont want to party if sire is in that party. When he asked her why, she says "I'd rather not party with him". Well, at this point im like wtf? why does this person ive never spoken to before have a problem with me. so i send her a tell asking 'how come you dont want to party with me, i dont even know you'. she tells me 'its not your play style, it has to do with bad blood between you and a friend of mine'. After that, she ignored my /tells (which werent derogatory, they were along the lines of who is it).

My question is, if this person despises me so much because of somethin her friend said, why wouldnt she tell me who her friend is? I can think of one person that would actually stoop so low to do somethin like this, but before i confront her i want to make sure its her. If anyone has any ideas about this, lemme know.

Well my friend's little sister's friend said that you have cooties. And even tho I don't know my friend's sister or her friend it has to be true or my friend would've never said it. And I bet you caught it while on the internet.

Silvereyes loyalty will be with her friend and not you therefore she isn't obligated to tell you jack. I tend to form my own opinions about people but some will go by the word of others. No biggy...probably happens to people all the time for ligitimate or bogus reasons.

I disagree. If her friend has such a beef with me that its effecting parties that are tryin to be created, then her friend needs to be confronted. As for sandria, i took my cootie shots so im good.

I'll tell you what. If the person that was talking smack about me wants to quit being a coward, send me a tell. As for silvereyes, good luck. keep holding onto a grudge that isnt yours and fight the good fight.

If you knew who the friend was, what would it change?

Aside from that, I have nothing to say about this really. Shit happens.
Say meh. Happy Taco New Year!

I know she was really good friends with Cubswoo a while back. don't know if this is the case now though.

It wouldnt change anything, however, it would still be good to know who is causing problems.

It's probably better since they are so emo, they probably wouldn't do their job well as well. I might be making assumptionsm, but appears this person did so too, so BOOYAH! (god I hate being bored at work ;^^: )

Who is causing problems? It's simple, you irked someone at some point in the past and they talked about you to a friend, in this case Silvereyes I guess. That or Silvereyes did a linkshell "quick check" on you after you initially invited her and someone (singular or plural) in the linkshell gave bad feedback. Either way nobody is entitled to accept all invites nor are they entitled to give reasons.

You can't be loved by everybody. If this is the first time that has ever happened to you your rep can't be too bad. I can understand being a little frustrated by her turning you down resulting in it taking longer for your party to get going full force but this too is part of the game.

Good luck.

lol, believe me, if she wasnt a rdm i probbably wouldnt have cared that much. but when im gettin tells from other people that are startin parties saying that its either me or her, then i have a problem, because in a way that makes me look bad.

The situation is like this:

My best friend and you got into it a little while ago, and I do not feel comfortable partying with people that my best friend has had problems with. Therefore, I declined your request to party up. I made it very clear to the people who asked me that it had nothing to do with your playstyle, but that it was simply bad blood between you and a friend of mine.

You can't expect a game made up of real people to not occasionally produce conflicts of interest like this. My sense of comfort and loyalty says that I should not party with people my best friend would not party with.

So, all in all, your playstyle was not insulted, the person who refused your invite was as nonconfrontational as possible, and you ended up getting into a party only about 45 minutes after I got into one. Factor in that the server has kicked me off for some random reason, and I'd say you had an ok night of it.

Don't take it too personally Sire. I was invited to a pt (by Fluffers - someone who I pt'd with as his Dragoon on my BlackMage a hell of a long time ago in the tree) and shortly received a tell saying nevermind and that the leader had me blacklisted. After finding out who the leader was (Kaete) I still didn't know why I would have been blacklisted. Until just recently when I realized it was because I'm friends with someone she doesn't like. lol, to be blacklisted because I'm friends with someone she had a row with... that's just plain immature. Especially since I've never talked to her.

Moral of the story? Some people suck.

Indeed.

She didn't want to party with you for her own reasons, why not just let it go, she did not personally insult you, only respecting her friends opinion.

Silvereyes is one of the nicer people I've met in this game, but nonetheless, if someone doesnt want to pt with you thats their choice and their loss of possible experience points. Stop your whining, this isnt even a flame it "someone doesnt want to pt with me".

If that friend was in the party then I could see what the deal was. But for someone to completely base their decision of someone on what a friend said is closed minded. And for that person to say they won't party with <name> makes the people in that party ask "why not?"... then they hear the one side of the story and (if they are as closed minded as that friend) they believe it as well. Making this person disliked because of the opinion of the original person who could just be an ass hating someone for no real reason. The person you "dislike" should atleast know why you dislike him/her.

Though I don't agree with someone declining an invite to a party because of something that their friend had going on, it's also her choice whether or not to party up with you and there's no reason to flame the person. It's not even a "bad" choice to make not partying with someone, it's a normal choice because they have free will. I totally understand it's not cool to party with someone your friend doesn't reccommend.

Y'know, I'll admit, I've actually told my linkshells and stuff about people who suck at their jobs in parties and told them to watch out for them. I know it's not right, but it's a friendly warning.

I remember Silvereyes from a long time ago in the dunes and I liked her at the time she was very nice....however....she acts like she doesn't know me now so maybe she's a different person playing the character?

I think Mirewen explained my point of veiw on this. Yes, she has free will, and thats cool that she wants to excersize that. My problem is that when she says something like 'I dont want to party with him', people will most likely take that as something negative towards me. No matter at this point, I know who to avoid when leveling.
