was off to npc and i forgot my signal pearl lol... so we decide to go for silverhook scine it was 98% moon. rode boat once.. nothing.... twice nothing... and third time, foggy weather, booya.. i see the boat. on this trip firsttriad is along for the ride as whm/nin and i think i have a good idea of what hes here for. first round of skeletons pop and silverhook pops, i draw my blade and WS. claimed woot didn't have blink up or nothing >< and i'm thinking this is a lvl72NM, he's going to pwn me if i don't get it together lol. drop a few WS on him... no one was prepared. no protect or shell.. no refresh. and it casts sleegaII so damn... he's not silenced, so i kite him around the boat a lap.. and they wake up... i'm down to about 500hp, they wake and we full attack... me and zyn break out 2 light skillchains and take him down to 15% but he kept blood sabering for alot... finnaly got him down low enough and zyn dropped a penta thrust on it. dead, drop seawolf cudgel =)

freez equips and we decimate the rest of the skeletons. good fun going back newmoon for the other cudgel woot

This guy is a big deal? My fiance had part in his killing before as a 58whm.. oh so scary >.>

He's level 70 or so, spawns like once per RL day, and he drops one of the best clubs in the game. :P

But anyway, congratulations Freez! Any chance you could provide a desperate WHM with a ToD on him? <.< >.> Been trying to get those clubs forever... :wacko:
 
i'm not too sure the exacts on it, but i was under the assumption pirates only happened on full/new moons, thou i could be wrong. was around 4 or 5 pm cst

95% moon around 4am(game) or something
 
thats not that HL NM on shop to selbina when pirates over take it i know that NM drops a club and high lv with alot of skelton m8 does aoe alot and pawned my 62 pld (at that time) 75 whm 65 sam 60 nin :(

ship from mhura ro selbina a lv 75ish NM pops he drops a club for whm has a high sat and a - mid sat and there is another 1 with oppsite forgot name though
 
The other nm is Blackbeard. And we're going back for him soon. :biggrin:
 
blackbeard yeah thats who i am on about if i rember got holina the club from him mhura to selbina midnight pop right?
 
Not sure if it has to be midnight, but yeah. He's a pirate pop when the dude in the middle on the pirate ship is wearing a vermy cloak.
 
yeah he is dangerious aoe is a bit funny but danger and i dont recond any tarus on him as aoe is almost al the boat and well u die
i was trying to kill him for nin af legs but he was up and thought he was NM i needed but was the ghoul behind him xD
 
I'm O-1 on Black Beard. I duoed him as Mnk/Nin with a lvl 75 whm.
 
I saw blackbeard and silverhook spawn like 2-3 rides apart one night....Silverhook tried to eat me that night too...Chainspell+Warp saved me with 48 HP @.@

EDIT: Oh yeah almsot forgot, grats on the kill.

Blackbeard - L68
Silverhook - L72, has Truesight.

Pops aren't based on Moon Phase, seen one pop on boat right after the other. I ran 1/2 Silverhook and now 1/5 Blackbeard (got drop 4'th kill). Seen Blackbeard pop twice in about 4 1/2h at one time.
 
By the way, pirates have nothing to do whatsoever with fog or anything else of the sort.

The simple fact is that the zone takes longer to load when there are pirates.

"Downloading Data" disappearing >> Fade in will take longer when there are pirates.

An easy way to check is to try to target the doors or take action. If you can do it "immediately" there will be no pirates. After awhile you can learn to tell at a glance, though.
