Sin of the Solar Empire {do you have it ?}

So finally someone noticed SoaSE and made a post. I would of, but I've been to busy playing it :biggrin:

I have my gripes with some of the moves the AI pulls, but overall the game is a complete blast. Constant AI mission spam is irritating as ever. (give us 1000 credits for a 10% relations boost. How about..no, and I drop a few hundred nukes on your colonies?)

Not enough crystal. GDI I hate that so much. Current game I've been playing, on the star my capital is orbiting has virtually NO ice worlds (well, 2, and it took 3 open wars to claim them) and no neutral crystal refineries. So I've been playing the black market a lot, selling the overabundant amount of metal I've collected, and buying crystal with it just so I can advance my tech-tree or build the ever-so-sexy advant hanger base defense buildings. Just so I can move a fleet or two away from the front line beachhead I've blasted in the second star and start pounding some worlds with purple nukes. Also, wormholes. Annoying as hell. I've had to sit my biggest fleet with my level 10 (max) cruiser sitting in constant patrol around the wormhole right in the fucking *middle* of my core empire. So whenever the AI drops a fleet through them I can get a few (hundred) free shots off. But damnit I need that fleet elsewhere. Move them and I expose the core of my entire empire. Keep them there and waste around 1/4 my logistic points. Grr.

Does this game have a single player aspect? I was looking at it, and I know there is no campaign (which seems like a damn shame to me) but if I wanted to play with people I would hop on WoW. There comes a time and place I just wanna chill out doing my own thing.
 
There is no campaign in SoSE, just the option to play single player against the AI or multi-player. Single player is the best place to start, as the AI is fairly good overall. Never as good as a human, but still puts up a good challenge.

Ok, I should actually read every word, as you said you know there is no campaign. Fail on my part.
