I'm currently at 80.0 with my mule on Woodworking from synthing lu shang rods and such. I was wondering what other people had done for 80-90. I don't have many subs which I'm working on so Kabura Arrows are somewhat out of the question as of now. I'm looking to powercraft my way to 90+ but would like to have some moderation on how much I spend.

I did Mythic Wands to 84, Mythic Poles to 89 using a huge supply of ancient lumber I had stored up synthing the lumber from p.logs earlier for skills.

My initial plan was to do exactly what jamal did. Sadly (well I look at it as a good thing), my skillup rate on petrified logs was relatively fast and only came out with about 6.5 stacks of ancient lumber. I instead decided to go with the plan of breaking mithran rods from 79-83 (.8 to go). This is a fairly slow path, but if you did lu shang breaking to 80, you should be used to it. After getting 83, I'm going to use my store of ancient lumber to hit 84 on wands then as far as I can go on poles. I have several stacks of kamarita arrowheads which will easily get me to 91. I would imagine that the likelihood of you leveling the bonecraft sub is pretty high whether you want to now or not, so I would recommend getting it out of the way for a relatively easy and profitable synth to 91. As far as the 90-100 range, I would occassionally make a plan of attack for minimal loss (if not gain) on synths, but the market ends up changing drastically and I'd change my plan. I gave up on making a new plan every month and decided to wait until I'm actually 90+ to decide.

Also don't forget you can desynth the poles and wands now too...which isn't as critical of a gilsaver as before (p.logs used to be 30-50k each) but still should help save some money.

With today's economy where a stack of ancient lumber is only 50k, You can avoid the extremely frequent crit breaks from desynthing by just NPC'ing poles for ~5k and just buy more petrified logs at 3k a piece for 1k loss per synth. Maybe I might do that....

Regarding the mithran rod breaking for skillups, The broken rods sell for about 20k, roughly 3-4x the price of a working rod. Buy 3-4 rods, break and synth until you're down to one rod due to crit synth breaks, then break that last rod and sell it on the AH. No loss. But like I said, this is a much longer and frustrating path compared to ancient lumber synths.

Following my method prepares you to really cash in on your way to 100. If you do it exactly, maybe you can be as lucky as me to cash in your only 2 hq's on tier 0s on...

8-sided-pole+1's (both happened within 5 minutes of eachother too)

or lol cythara anglica, 2 HQ withing 5 minutes too...
