Skillup woes

So I've been leveling up DRK for a while now, making sure to keep both great sword and scythe capped, along with the magics. But I've recently gotten into my 30s, and both have started falling behind. Currently I'm a little bit over halfway through 34, and both of them I've resorted to at least keeping about equal. They're both at 101, which is under the cap for even level 33. The current cap for both of them is 105, but with only like 2.5k tnl that's like 15 kills in order to get both up the four points.

Not only that, but now my dark magic is starting to get further behind. I know I should have tried skilling up one of these while I was leveling my warrior sub, but I was busy enough trying to keep both Great Axe and Axe capped. Do you have any suggestions? I think I might be too much of a burden to bring on skillup parties, especially when I only need to get like eight skillups, but on the other hand from what I understand every level you have in a skill is one accuracy and one attack... well that means I'm missing four accuracy and attack right now, which are both obviously pretty valuable to have. {Help me out!} {please}.
 
One of the problems you'd have skilling up solo is that while you're so close to the cap, you'll have to fight Even Matches to get skillups, and an EM will probably tear you to bits....

At the moment you're probably going to be using Scythe most of the time (I seem to remember 34-37 the better Scythes did a lot more damage than the better GSwords). You should be able to keep one weapon updated in parties, and then use skillups to keep the other pretty close.

Later it will become easier to keep them updated, with greater values tnl giving you more time, but always you're going to want to use your best weapon for damage and skillchains, so each party you're mostly going to only get to level one weapon.

The best way to level Dark Magic is to find a crab or beetle of about the same level as you (near a zone if possible), and sleep, drain, aspir, Abs it for skillups...
 
Dark magic shouldn't be much of a problem once you start getting the better absorb spells. I dunno if Abs-Agi still helps nowadays with sushi but Vit, Str, and maybe even dex are nice. Drain and aspir every now and then will also help keep your dark magic capped.

But yeah, I'd keep one weapon capped for now, and keep the other as close as possible. I personally kept scythe capped, but I dunno, whichever your more comfortable with. As Blowy said, later on tnls get so high you shouldn't have much trouble keeping both capped.
 
Or you can be a man and kill yourself. If I'm going to lvl before I get a certain skill capped I'll just die and HP. That usually gives me enough time to get my skills to cap before I go on to the next lvl. Hell I event get evasion and parry skills by doing this.
 
My drk is now 42, almost 43 and I know what you mean, I've decided to use just scythe in xp parties for the time being, and when I'm in the late 50s, I'll use coffer hunts and stuff to work on GSD.

As for drk magic, mine was capped until the early-mid 30s, but not enough time to get mp back became a problem. But when I've had parties xp stuff that can be aspir'd I'd catch it up alot, and I imagine post 41 with rdms and maybe brds, it's not going to be as big a deal.

Pah, just be happy your skillups don't involve sitting around and summoning avatar after avatar after avatar for the rest of your days. What a raw deal.
 
I would just pick one and use it till TNLs start to get really high. Then I would just join skill up party, after skill up party. I lvled Scythe 50 points in 3 days. IMO this is a much better way to do it since trying to keep both capped at low lvls will gimp you. They will never be capped, so you'll be missing out on extra ATT and ACC points.

what? do u need to skillup? and if so what lvls i need enfeebling up a ton <<<<<< 44 blm atm
