Sky = recieve problem

As soon as i entered sky my FFXI is like jammed and one message takes a year to show up on ls chat... and char moves like very slow.Everytime i turn on ffxi i see this another window jgkgk opening along with POL window.I used to use windower but not anymore (Not sure if the exe is still hooked though) so anyone know why this is happening? ANd when i log its still the same... can't move much or do anything.Not sure if its the hook or some key logger or something.

He actually has some relavance in this post, it happened to me too.

Second I went into Ru'Aun for the first time I now lag everywhere.
 
I'm not the most technosavvy person in the world, but I would try (first) to take off your weather effects. I've found that sometimes, through my own lag, or server lag, that the weather effects will cause my computer to lag horribly, even when the game says that no weather effect is present.

WSM's problem seems to either be linked with his windower, or a possible trojan on his computer. I had one a little while ago, WSM, that opened Limewire every 5 minutes and would start downloading random things, like .txt files & whatnot. Run some virus scans on your computer, and try to see what percentage of your compy you are running in Sky.

Needless to say, I don't know why you only lag in one particular zone, but hopefully you can figure it out quickly. Good luck to both of you.
 
Buy a PS2. Seriously. Looks worse but pretty much lag and chop-free.

Is there anyway to get a PS2 version without having to buy a hard drive? I already have a hard drive for my PS2 and I don't need another one.

Depends on if FFXI running on your hard drive will pass DNAS or not. If so, you should be able to find an ISO of it somewhere.
 
i forgot to mention i have 2gb ram 9800xt graphic card and cable connection.Games like doom 3 don't lag... so its mostly not the graphic card.I did try turning stuff on and off but doesn't work.Its like that particular part of the server has some connection problem or someshit.i really don't want to reinstall ffxi =/ :cry:

Hmmmm, I've been in sky for hours upon hours lately and haven't noticed any lag problems. I've got most if not all my effects turned off.
 
well you know what i always say .....





if all else fails just blame whitey.
 
All my mules and other places work fine but in sky the char is hardly moving.And i can't even call GM up there.Dunno wtf is wrong... must me optimum online having problem with web adresses again.
