Sleep effectiveness

Yeah i think your right anna i have to relook into that and Zer to answer your ? it wont override it its a bit different than the rest ie Poison II overiding poison I or nin poison(considered II to me) overiding ichi poison ninjustu

if that makes sense

Sleep II definately overides Sleep, starting the Sleep II's duration timer immediately as the spell lands. I was doing this multiple times last Monday night, and it worked like a charm. On the other hand, if you were to try casting Sleep II and then Sleep, my guess is you'd get a "Sleep has no effect" message. But I'll have to confirm that later.

I have a dell so i guess it just err's a lot but then again I dont often cast sleep II over sleep I so my bad...

Again! XD

Correct again.

anyone have any luck sleeping those Imps? i was shocked when i was able to sleep one... those bastards are nearly impossible to sleep 10% of the time.

I've seen it done before, but I think only twice. Unfortunately I don't remember the mage(s) that slept them, but I do remember seeing it done before.

Lullaby and Sleep are different things that accomplish the same effect. Some things simply can't be slept by either (normal mob example: qutrub). Most things can be reasonably slept by both. Some things are easy for one to sleep but either impossible, or so close to impossible that they might as well be impossible, for the other to sleep.

For example, imps and skeletons aren't even worth trying to use Sleep, but Lullaby works like a charm. Conversely, detectors are practically impossible to Lullaby, but Sleep works easily.

EDIT: And then you have things like greater birds, which are resistant to Sleep but not Lullaby (though you can find some exceptions where Sleep works normally), but are also heavily light-resistant ...

Imps have great magical prowess, so that to me is to be expected since they are weak physically
