I have had it with web sites that use fucking tiny fonts, I hate them, I hate their web masters, and I hate the children and pets of their web masters, with passion!

What the fuck!?!
I mean I am not to blame that I live in a world where my 17" flat panel has to be set to 1280x1024 to display things properly. Why is it that even most frequented web sites choose to serve content in x-small or size="-1" or whatnot.

Not only that, but they they also have pop-ups explaining what the user needs to do if the text is too small. So obviously they are aware that their fonts a so fucking tiny that even a magnifying glass would barely enlarge them to a readable level. Instead of coding their pages to work with different resolutions they just say "sorry, you're shit outta luck, unless you manually adjust your font size".

I HATE THEM!

Use Mozilla FireFox. It allows you to change the text size just by clicking 'increase' or 'decrease' text size . Can make it as small or as large as you want.

I think I hate pages with horribly coloured large fonts over pages with small fonts....the pages with the 40 point lime green text on the orange background that cause my browser to scroll sideways...JESUS having a scroll bar appear on the bottom of my browser makes me insane!! :evil:

You can do that in just about any browser...

I just had a stylesheet I'd have the browser smack on whatever pages I'd view. That way I didn't have to worry about some dumbass thinking that his/her site would look cooler with text the size of ant nuttarus.

And for fuck's sake, make your pages degrade gracefully!

<insert Anesly's web design rant here :evil:>
<insert Anesly's fear that her text on her site is too small here :oops:>

True, but FireFox kicks ass, so i try and get people to try it as much as possible. ^^;;

Woot Hurray for Firefox. *cheers*

It's what i use, and my god is it so much better than IE.

I run firefox on my tower, my lapper and my tower at work, it rocks.
Death to IE and its endless security holes !!!!!

I don't know, I like the IE feel, that it is integrated and that it doesn't do tabbed browsing, no idea if FireFox does tabbed browsing, but I hate absolutely hate tabbed browsing.

meh i have to use IE to access my college e-smpanion... so im screwed out of mo- net- and fire- ; ;

Just read up on FF and this fits right in here.

FF front page says Firefox empowers you to browse faster! Whee, I can finally get rid of my DSL and go back to cheapo 56k thanks to FF!!!

What I have not read on the front page is a single reason why I should use FF over IE, except tabbed browsing. I agree that if you like that, then IE is not for you.

It's great to see that FF won a bunch of awards from the Linux community, no bias there.

Some dude at O'Reily had the following to say:
The newest version of FireFox shows just how tired and old IE has become. In time, perhaps, it'll join the modern era and add features such as tabbed browsing. But for now, if you're looking for the smartest, slimmest, and most feature-rich browser, you should head straight to FireFox.
Hmm, I don't need my browser to be smart, because chances are pretty good that I am smarter, and we will start to disagree on things, and I do not need it to be feature rich either, it just needs to display the majority of all web sites properly.

And THAT is the selling point of IE really. Most all web sites (except those coded to internationally accepted standards MS doesn't care to be a part of) display correctly in IE, most people on this Earth are using IE, which is pretty much the number one reason to use IE, to conform.

FF may be the better product, I won't argue that, but if I would come across only one page that doesn't show correctly, then I would rather take the "tired and old" (whatever that means) IE any day.

Actually I just thought of a feature that I would appreciate in a browser, the ability to either display, or download, style sheets that are associated with the web site one is looking at.

I couldn’t agree more. Nothing pisses me off more than fonts that are too small to be read by someone with normal eyesight. Well maybe warm beer, ok check that, nothing pisses me off more than warm beer, it makes me want to puke. No wait I also hate people who drive slow in the left lane, that really pisses me off more than anything. So ok small fonts, warm beer, and slow drivers, oh yeah and country music, that chaps my hide too.

Frankly, Sculli, I just don't see your problem. :D
Caue you probably got ashtray thick lenses in your glasses that magnify so much that you were able to see some nebula even before Hubble found it.

Getting to tired to edit it, but Tyrion was the first to figure out that you can make text infinitely small on here, gotta give him the credit after all. May just go ahead and restore the original and not mess with the FB anymore.
