Smash Bros Brawl tournament (Underway)

OK so i just want everyone to confirm a date now, i was thinking this friday /weekend as i am done with finals on friday too...this is another reason this is taking so long...i do apologise guys!
 
Ah, there's one thing I've been meaning to talk to you about. Namely, the battles being held on FD/Battlefield. Battlefield is all fine and good, but Final Destination is most certainly not a fair or neutral stage. For one, the lack of platforms makes the game campy and gives a huge advantage to projectiles and allows Pikachu to spam Thunder unimpeded. The edges have horrible, horrible stage lips that gimp linear recoveries such as Link, Ganondorf, Falcon, TL(sort of, he can generally just sort of float back on to the stage),and many others. It's even being considered for being changed to counterpick status thanks to these things and the new stage lips, it's just such a tradition to have it set as a neutral.


Anyway, just something to think about. Also don't forget the other neutral stages. It's just the generally mentality of elitists who think they're pro is(not accusing anyone on QCDN, just stating how certain people are inclined to think) that all torunaments are held on Final Destination. Not to mention the casual elitists(that is to say, people who play for fun with items on any stage, etc. but think their way is the only way in the game to play) thing of "No items. Fox only. Final Destination."...as if anyone plays like that. No one plays like that. Ever. Not trying to start anything on the matter, just wanted to say that since I've been forgetting for a while, and try to clear up some of the casual players who don't understand competitive players. This is obviously a casual tournament though, and it's your rules, and I'll follow them. Just throwing it out there.
 
in my opinion, one of the most neutral stages, if not THE most neutral is Smashville

it's simply final destination without the lip and with 2 platforms. mobile, none the less.

ugh I HATE that level, lol. But youre right.

(edit: I dont hate that level... confused it with newpork)

Temple of Time offers a good fighting ground, too. Wario Ware is okay, the minigames sometimes get in the way and are the cause of death. The fighting platform, though, is great since its just straight up and down on the edges

IMO as long as the stage doesnt Morph, Tilt or create hazardous KO sources, its all good...

One of the reasons I dont like Newpork is that pink demon thingy.... (btw, I confused newpork with smashville, my mistake.) That and its just a huge stage.
 
Just have it Battlefield and Smashville. Pokemon Stadium Classic is also a good stage
 
Bridge of Eldime (The Twilight Princess level) is really good too. Its got the bomb in the middle and the goblin things that ride the donkey deals, but they are easily avoidable so it would only add to the fun.

I agree, this is a pretty good level. Only thing I hate about this is if 1 person camps on a side after the bridge is destroyed, lol. Can either wait for it to come back, or chance getting on the same side
 
Well if they camp one side its pretty easy to just go to the other side. If they both get stuck on the same side than the fighting continues on a fairly smaller plain. Its probably my favorite level now.
 
Bridge is too broken, D3 chain grab off the stage ftw

Me thinks you take this game far far far too seriously.

EDIt: No one is even registered in the Tournament as Dedede so it isn't an issue anyway.
