Smithing Question

Just recently i attained lev 45 in Smithing and was wondering what to Skill up on. The Guides on Allakhazam says to do Darksteel ingots till 52 but im very careful about what im gonna synth now since i got some serious exspenses in the next level (example- Lords equipment, Company Sword)

My Question is that if Darksteel is the way to go should i synth it on Firesday or Darkday? and is the moon very inportant in sucess rate? Or if Darksteel isnt the way to go until i get a little closer to 52. What should i synth to get me close enough to darksteel's cap that i wont blow up every other synth in a row.

I would really appriciate any kind of information i can get

if its a profit, doesn't really matter what day to craft on.

you don't need to worry about moon and days until you are making items that lose you gil.

Basically, you'd be best off synthing your ingots on firesday/iceday until you're closer to 52. It might take you a bit longer to get through the darksteel phase that way, but less breakage in the 45-48 range will definitely help you on the money aspect.

Other than that, you could consider mining your own ore in Gusgen. Or even just the Iron ore in Zeruhn. In my own experience I sometimes NEEDED to mine the iron ore just to keep up the rate of leveling I wanted, since there was 14-20 DS ore but only 20-25 Iron ore typically on AH when I was in that phase. ><

As far as total profits go... lately the price of ore has been a little volatile, and how much money you stand to make is pretty variable because of that.
