Smn solo uncapped avatars

Well because I'm bored and because I know it's possible I want to solo the primes but I'm not sure on a strat. Does anyone know a good one?(Shut up Zalt, me asking for help in no way implies you're a better Smn. I'm still better and more awesome. Just ask Trist)
 
Use the avatar the prime is week to, or fenrir. Use your barspells, and pray.

There is your strat.

If you truly were awesome and all that, you'd solo the prime as winja ;P

 
The strat I normally use when solo'n the avatars is Carbuncle/Opposing Summon and kite the bitch til it 2hrs, after it does... i just let opposing summon finish it off. Also tier IV spells are best against them, 75 merits are too expensive and 70 moves just suck on them.


Barspells don't help a smn much if he/she is caught in the 2hr D:
 
Easy

Kiting is the easiest way for a solo summoner. Moink is right for the most part but if you have the merits the 70 and 75 blood pacts can do well. They are expensive but I solod Shiva without any problem usin Pred Claws (yeah, trust me, I know winds a bad idea, but I did a 1100 Pred Claws to the bitch) and just carby kited to get my mp back. Took a while but won fairly easily. I would reccomend using the tier iv blood pacts if you arent fully merited though.

I failed so hard when I tried this on Ifrit... I ran out of MP by the time he was at 70%. I kept trying to enfeeble though, probably not a good idea. They weren't sticking long enough to warrant the MP and decrease in dmg output.
 
what about smn/nin with it? use the stronger avatar, get refreshers...and also kite with carby when mp gets low, what about the 75 merit blood pacts?

dont see where /nin is effective on solo'n an avatar that can kill a smn in one hit with its 2hr. the 75 bloodpacts are expensive but for roughly the same amount of damage, tier 4 spells are best imo.
 
avatar 2hr is a joke for anyone with decent enhancing magic. Speaking on whm or rdm barspell buffs not subbed of course. They're all fairly easy except Garuda and Levy which try to spam heals but can be dealt with.

Seen quite a few jobs do well against avatars such as mnk/nin(had a full eva set only hit once), nin/war,rdm/nin,etc.

As far as debuffs go, they have an absurdly high rate of resistance of spells that aren't their weakness, unless it's dia/bio. Not sure how nin does on debuffing since they kinda 'cheat'.

They'd be a cakewalk for you Myrrh, tanked levy as a lol73rdm/16nin for vivi 66smn and neisan 63rdm; they shouldn't give you much trouble.
 
Just go all out with Predator Claws untill your MP is about to run out and then cast Carby to let him take care of what's left of the prime avatar, also to get more MP if you need one last big attack.

The strat is the same as the one used on the solo 20 fights. Cast and run.

ps - What K said about fighting Garuda and Leviathan is true. They are impossible to off before the 30 minutes run out, they spam their healing abilities... ; ;

Ramuh does well against stunning them when he has rolling thunder and lightening armor up.

idk which 2hrs youve been hit by, but all 2hrs have hit me for over 1k and causing me to start all over. they may be easy. but a smn who is solo'n them and gets nailed with a 2hr is dead and this is coming from ifrits lucky ass self and his long aoe range...
 
It just never happened to him to take a full unresisted 2H to the face lol.

When I got my whispers I duoed all the avatars with Pchan, thf/nin and rdm/whm. They can't hit a thief, even in haste gear, but their tierIVs can't be blinked by utsusemi as I recall, so you need a bit curing. Of the 8 avatars ( I think there are 8?), only shiva and garuda went nuts and broke 1k with their 2h, had to try again. The other did less than 500 dmg with their 2H.

Khidir's talking about getting hit by 2hrs with RDM barspell on... so you are both right.
 
Yep, I was talking as rdm main with barspell, my previous post said it, if I had to guess with barspell levy's tidal wave did about 100dd or so? Hard to say since it didn't break SS, the normal hits were more bothersome than the special abilities unless it was the level 70 bps(around 500 dd to me or so). They hit me fairly well with the meager eva and crappy evasion rating I have.

But, Nego can tell you that I ate an aerial armor on our first attempt to get my wind whisper without barspell since I had assume that Shell IV was enough. My friend(drk) resisted it 1/8 miraculously while I had gotten one-shotted(700dd after it broke my SS) so I know how you guys feel.

Then Carbuncle, Fenrir, and Diabolos

I "soloed" Titan Prime on BLM/NIN. Or was is BLM/RDM? I can't remember. Was... interesting, either way.

Terra's Staff/Umbra Cape.. didnt have Sorc Earring yet. Desert Boots for running, whatever Eva gear was equippable. Basically DoT, and run like hell.

Had a WHM friend for healing support/taking hate when things got really bad, but that was only once or twice.

SO! If I can do it on BLM, you can do it on SMN.
