Since Reeve has made General Discussion an off topic forum as well, i figured id post in here.

A group of people are pushing for a bill to be passed (or law to be enacted or something) for any movie showing someone smoking to be rated R...

They are in the process of passing a smoking ban in PA for bars/restaurants, which is reallllly gonna piss me off if it happens. I can go into a bar, get completely fucked up, but not have a cigarette...Huh? I think ill drive home and then have unprotected sex with a gonosyphlherpeaids infested girl...while taking the lords name in vein. Of course, because making poor life decisions starts with smoking.

Movies with smoking in them are rated R, but people will still be allowed to smoke outside the theater. What a bunch of stupid bullshit.

NY and NJ already have the smoking ban in public areas, including bars and diners. I once ordered a meal out at a diner and just smoked and ate it right outside with my friends lol We needed our nicotine. And the local bars started adding fenced in areas next to the bar with a side entrance so you can go outside for a smoke.

As for giving an R rating to any movie with smoking is stupid.

Yar. So has CO. Can't smoke on the fucking sidewalk here anymore, gotta do it on your own private property. Not that I smoke cigarets, but I think it's the stupidest fucking thing ever, can't believe it passed. No one's gonna enforce it that heavily.
