Hey everyone =).

I am just a little curious about the Snoll fight. Seeing that SE kinda "eased" him up with adjusting the timer on the salt, makes me wonder if that was only it. Did they lower his hp? Did they make him weaker?

Does anyone know? I am doing this fight with some good friends saturday and i would love to be fully prepared.

Tanjer =)

The salts alone is enough to make him easy. Not to mention the fact that you can just have one person, say a brd (after they do buffs), dedicated to spamming salts (since they're no longer r/e) and leave your other melees & mages to do what they do best.

Oh sure Fly, make the bard do all the work. :wizard:

I think the Ranger should do it =P

I can't think of anything else they're even remotely good at. I'm not even sure why the job was implemented in the first place, talk about useless. Who invites bards these days?

Can you post your potential party setup so we can give more accurate advice? I TPburned the hell out of this fight.

it is and easy fight if you have a decent setup. It is really weak to fire magic and phy dmg a couple melee and rdm or blm along with someone to keep the party alive can get the job done. and now with salt instant cast it just make it that much easier.

I can't argue with logic.

Well, the thing is that we mainly consist of mages =).

Ill give up the jobs that goes saturday.

rng
blm
blm
pld
war
rdm
rdm
whm

My potential 1st pt setup would be: whm, blm, blm, pld, war, rng.

Please correct me if you think otherwise =).

I am the rng in the pt, but i could also tank it on NIN if that would be a better option.
The problem is, that we will lose some firepower then.

With your party set up it should be fine. I know rdm can chainspell on it to do some nice dmg also. Probably have the war use salts.

Sounds good =).

Keep the good advice coming.

Looks like they put the estimated hp of Snoll from 9k to 7.5k.
Not bad =)

With that setup I would do BLM BLM RNG WAR RDM RDM.

My party did this before the update and took him down to 1% before he decided to blow up.... 1 Salt used, the second member forgot to use his salt when his turn comes....

We tried this again yesterday after the nerf (lol..), not only Salt takes 1 second to use (but you won't be able to cast spell for some time if you are a mage), the hp of Snoll has been seriously nerfed (I'm guessing his stats might be nerfed too.)

Did a trial run with no salt and no 2hour etcetcetc, took him down to 2% (LOL!). When we did the real run, i used 1 salt, SAMs released their ws, 1 SAM went 2hour, bam bam bam, before i realized it, the fight over... /faint

The fight is less than 20 seconds (since the salt effect had not worn when he died), all members were not hurt, me and BLM had a lot of mp to spare and i do mean a LOT.

So yea, there is major nerf on Snoll, so this mission should not be a problem anymore as long everyone is prepare as with other COP mission.

Hope that helps.

PS: By the way, i think Snoll HP is now around 6000-7000 rather than 9000.

lol at least our party tried before the update :D

They lowered his max hp too? Ugh, this fight's a joke now. :(

Yes xD, i'm pretty sure they might have lower his stats too, our party find him a LOT weaker after the updates... Guess some crazy *cough* good *cough* guy need to get some data from it.. And yea... Trial run, no 2hour, no items, no Salt, took him down to 2%... >.>

Edit: Oh and the trial run is at Iceday too. I wonder what's the nerf that has been applied to Tenzen. Anyone has any info on it? ^^

No idea, but I'd love to find some group to get the rest of COP done. XD
