Pug is like Goku on acid. You go nuts.

I'm liking my pug a lot. I've been dabbling in everything as best as I can with the limited slots. I can say that I am frustrated with the crafting system though.

I gotta agree with some disappointment :( it's a pretty game, mind you, but the controls and interface are kinda "meh" and that's pretty big for a game. Hell, FFXI felt better to me than FFXIV atm, but it is beta so maybe that'll improve. I'll give it some more time though and see how it goes.

OB is enjoyable somewhat, I haven't done a whole lot, but I really don't want to do so much in OB only to lose everything I've done when the real release comes out. I only play through this game an hour or two per day and try some of the Leves and such.

I went fishing last night for one of the Leves. The fishing system is slower than XI. You basically find the spot, cast your line. Then you set the depth of your rod using the arrow keys. Then after you click on wait, you wait a minute or so until you get a bite.

At first I was confused with the fishing mechanics in this game, while the little cursor comes up and goes left to right back and forth and you select when you want it to stop, so I stopped it in the middle and that's when I kept losing the fish.

After that, I tried the method used in FFXI where you move the rod back and forth, but instead of moving it back and forth yourself, you have to click on the swaying cursor to set it on the left side, then right side, and back and forth until you catch the fish.

I'm definitely keeping my Lalafell with the same model and everything in the real release, and I will keep him as a THM main. The only thing I will probably change is my starting location from Ul'Dah to Grindania. I don't like the music in Ul'dah, it gets really annoying, but the music in Grindania sounds peaceful.
