USB Hard drive, it fell off my Desk when I was rushing to get the phone... It's actually the HD that came with FFXI for PS2.... I slightly modded it to fit into an external HD casing so I can play WoW on my laptop... lol...

But yeah, now it turns on, runs for about 7-12seconds, then the little power light shuts off, but the drive still runs.. I can't access it, but the "Safetly remove hardware" icon appears at the bottom right... And it doesn't have the name of the Hard drive when I go to remove it, it simply says USB Mass Storage device, without any specifics.. I took it out of the casing, checked to see if any of the chip was broken, and for loose connections but there isn't any visible ones..

It only fell about 1.75-2 feet, onto carpet...

Any ideas on a fix?

If the drive sounds like it's still spinning and ticking, you might need to pull the enclosure open to make sure that everything is connected. Beware rhythmic sounds, and it's usually an indicator of failure.

Does the drive work when it's connected to an IDE connector in a desktop?

If it's plates were spinning when it fell....go buy a new one. HD's have a decent drop distance (4 feet) when they aren't in use, ie, in you hand not connected to power.

IMHO you have a sexy new paper weight.

Yeah, it was on, my brother summed up what yall' said... Went and bought a new one today... Thanks for the input.
