yea got the day off and an advance screening of The newest James Bond movie
Casino Royale... I liked it... Cant wait for Rocky Balboa(aka Rocky VI)
 
How's the new Bond? He can't stack up to Pierce.

He needed to be replaced.

I'm going to see it tonight with a group of friends hopefully, if not we'll see Borat instead :D Or maybe Saw III :D
 
He's not Pierce, nor Connery. I put him just behind Roger Moore, but ahead of Timmothy Dalton and that other guy who did like 1 movie and sucked.
 
Great movie and i think he did pretty good. Timeline of events didnt stack up for me since i know the original book storyline but if someone who didnt catch it im sure theyd say it was a badass movie. It's definitely a bond unlike all the others.

Really? I thought Moore owned, granted I haven't seen all the Bonds. But of the ones I did see, he was my favorite.
 
Was rather dissapointed Pierce turned the role down (no he wasnt replaced cause hes old lol he was actually offered it and declined for w.e reason) idk though, this new guy might do well, ill probably be seeing it this next week or so.

His contract had been for 4 movies, and he did his 4. He doesnt want to be brandad as a "Bond" actor.
 
I saw Casino Royale last night. It was excellent. As someone who's read a few of the books, I must say that this is the best depiction of them that's been made, period. The new Bond is really good at what he does, and I don't know how well Connery or Brosnan would have done with his script, but he hit it out of the park displaying a better Bond then either of them were ever given the opportunity to.
 
Agreed. I enjoyed the movie, and I liked that they dialed back a little on the superheroic antics of Bond and grounded him a little more in the real world.

And that foot chase at the beginning was amazing.

Lol right, not that this guy is already signed on for the next 3 films and the next one is being released in 2008.

I only know that there is a next movie lol. It hasn't started filming yet but it's not going to star Brosnan.
