ANd I reserved Xenosaga 2 and the PSP ^.^

I cant wait till these things come out... and once they do I fear it will be the thing that finishes off my FF11 career.

Anyone else getting either of these?

-Ham

PSP is junk IMHO. Sony is allready having problems out the wazoo with it...like buttons not working and such. And I really don't feel like buying my entire DVD collection to watch them on a portable, again....especially since most of my movies are longer than the battery life of the PSP...

Xenosaga 2 looks good but I never bought the first one. Still need to beat Xenogears and various other juicy RPGs that have been put on hold. Nevermind the fact tha Star Fox comes out on "Holy shit, you're still single" day...OY!

Yeah, I wasnt going to buy a PSP until my friend brought one back from his trip to Japan... and now I'm hooked hehe. I guess I've always been a fan of handhelds, well, my brother has been the one to get them, he has gotten just about every game boy there was as well as the DS (I'm really not impressed with that).

As for Xenosaga, I loved the first game and really wanna know how it continues

If the choice is between the PSP and the DS, I'll take the PSP in a heartbeat. Of course, I'd never buy a first-run Sony product. Better to wait 6 months and get the version that actually doesn't explode when you tilt it slightly to the left.

Sony has a very good policy on defective products... I sent my PS2 in shortly before FF11 came out due to me not being able to take it online... I got a brand new one, free of charge. So if I do have any problems I'm not worried.

Bwahahaa!! The square button on the PSP is crap and sony has no intention of moving it so it's a more functional button.

When asked about the square button and how it doesn't line up with its contact lead inside the unit, Kutaragi had this to say:

"The button's location is [architectured] on purpose," Kutaragi added. "It's according to specifications. This is something that we've created, and this is our specification. There was a clear purpose to it, and it wasn't a mistake."

For reference, the following picture shows how the PSP's buttons are placed, and how they line up with their contact leads on the circuit boards underneath them. Click for a larger pic.

Offering additional testimony praising the handheld, Kutaragi said, "I believe we made the most beautiful thing in the world. Nobody would criticize a renowned architect's blueprint that the position of a gate is wrong. It's the same as that."

They would if the gate didn't work where it was...like putting it on the 2nd story of the building with no access to the gate.

ADAPT PEOPLE!!!!

Oh sony...you make me laugh

As I understand it, the problem isnt apparent on every PSP, my friends has absolutely no problems, and I'll just hope mine doesnt; and if it does ill just get it replaced.

All I can say is this:

I am so sick of Sony and their flawed hardware, you'd think that they'd hold up their end of the deal with the buying public by not putting out shite.

But no, they keep jamming land fills with old PS1s and 2s suffering from DRE's and heat damage. Christ, at least if an X-Box drive goes belly up you can (if you're a clever monkey) swap in a new drive.

I really hope the PSP goes belly up and fails horribly. Because buying it and bitching about how it doesn't work only reinforces Sony's belief that they could wrap up a turd with the Playstation name and it will still sell 1 million in its first year.

to paraphrase Sab's quoted article:
"We have the biggest market share in this industry, people will buy our product, no matter how flawed and they'll love us for it, now hold still while I slap you in the face with my dick!! I'M SONY PLAYSTATION BITCH!"
