I believe by this point they expect people attempting this to have relic weapons, how long has it been since dynamis opened? continuing light skillchains to a point of almost nonstopw tihe blms bursting would be my guess at the strategy they foresaw in the downtaking of this monsterous being.
I dont think so... they said they dont want very many people to have fully upgraded relics.

but what about the weapons that the jailers drop... maybe everyones gotta equip and use it.. and also what about calling for help? i also heard a theroy that u need to call for help to kill this thing.. although it would destroy the drops u could have a qhole server beat it to shit.

There haven't really been enough attempts at AV so far to formulate a decent strategy, but the first JP linkshell that fought it had it up for a couple of hours, so it isn't instant death to fight it.

The key to beating AV is a Spelunker's Hat. I know. I soloed him. You get the title Virtuous Valor, and I got an Aern Organ and a Light Cluster. What a shitty NM.

I wonder if AV wasn't so much an enemy as we think it is. I mean.. There were a fuckload of 'don't kill this mob for x amount of time' added, adn there are mobs that are... um... Curious? in Sea. The follow you around and 'aggro' but never attack. None of the types of creature (Aerns) aggro (to my knowledge) including AV. Basically, I wonder what happens if you just didn't attack it.
All the mobs you fight up to that point are "Jailers", maybe AV was wrongfully imprissoned? lol if you pop him after Jailer of Love is defeated... Maybe Absolute Virtue is Love. Kinda makes sense... Love hurts and likes to rape people with Tornado II...

wouldn't it be cruel of SE if the way to kill Absolute Virtue is to cast raise on it like the previous FF bosses. tee hee

It does despawn... I downloaded a video clip of him despawning after no one claimed him for some amount of time (I was bored, so sue me 
).

All I can say, is that Absolute Virtue is the most gigantic tease SE has ever created. He is unbeatable, and designed to be that way. It's just something to keep players occupied until ToA releases, at which point there'll be something introduced like the winds for sky gods that will let players get through his (and JoL's) regen. I know one thing, and that is that SE's not stupid. They wouldn't introduce a NM that drops some very nice stuff (JoL), with the only way to beat it to be to CFH and Tga3 bomb it for hours.

the way to beat them is to be a lvl 1 bard and go in and attack it with an onion weapon. DUH!
