So what happened to BST?

When you use Leave outside of the small "wandering radius" that your pet spawns inside of, your pet will vanish for a minute and respawn back inside that radius again. When he respawns, there's no guarantee that he will still be the same level he was before (so your Even Match pet might become Tough for example). It's still possible to solo at some camps, it's just slower. Other camps (like the Bost... the place underneath San d'Oria) are pretty much ruined.

I thought SE said that when the mob respawned, it would be the exact same mob as before.

They lied. They got lazy (SE got lazy?! I am SHOCKED!!!!... >.>) and made a new mob re-pop. They might have fixed it but I have not heard they did.
 
Check it now that the steal patch has been implemented. It might be the same mob. They used to respawn, coin and all, once they were walked out of their radius and hidden to detach.
