Soboro!

This was long and drawn out, much like the fight, but I finally got it. I put Samurai on hold after no drops from alliance attempts in the past, eventually becoming too lazy to join or organize runs. So I decided to level the job without it.

I went from 49-52 in a level 40 sync party tonight. No Soboro to equip afterwards...I looked the NM up on wiki when a friend and I started talking about duoing it with Red Mages. It turns out it's totally un aggressive when unclaimed.

I loaded up 4 Reraise Earrings and brought my DRK out for a beating. It turns out 4 earrings wasn't enough. lol I searched all over the place but nearly everyone was busy or had logged off. That's when I searched Tav Safehold and found Velderin! He made a few trips as I accidently mpk'd him on his first arrival. Three earrings later and it was sitting with nearly no HP left. Veld lined up SATA and I went down like a ragdoll. A few swings later and it actually dropped.

A huge thanks to Veld!

It cost 24k exp, 7 Reraise Earrings, and a bystander casualty. lol

i organized a group from social LS for soboro before, my lot was so bad that i ended up with last person getting the GK -_-

All I did was:

Reraise, pop it, Bio II and Poison II or Drain, and die right at the pop area. Reraise right infront of it and repeat that over fifty times.

Sometimes Poison II would land and sometimes Drain would do over 100 damage. Near the end of the fight, I found out double weakness doesn't affect melee attacks on this NM, so I started meleeing it while casting Bio/Poison.

Wish I could have zerged it with an mkris! lol

Wow, grats man. Glad to see that it dropped also. I still need to obtain one, maybe i'll have to try that strategy. >.>
