I wanna start doing solo ENMs but have no idea where to start. I know there's one in Movapolos but I'd just be wandering around alot not knowing where to find it. The ENM's I've heard are semi decent practice for G5 and I don't run the risk of losing exp making it one of my best options for getting prepared to beatup that dirty old man.
If anyone has a link to directions on how to fnd the ENMs or even general information can I please have it so that I can get my practice in for G5?
 
The solo ENM 60 at the Mine Shaft can be reached easily thru Oldton Movalpolos. Just enter the SE entrance of Oldton (there's two entrances SE of Palborough Mines, you want the one furthest away).

There's a goblin NPC near that entrance who'll play a gambling game with you where he rolls two 50-sided dice...he hasto roll a certain number or less for you to win, and if he rolls higher you basically lose your bet (highest you can bet is 10k, in which he hasto roll a 50 or less, or to be blunt a 50% chance =P)

Once you win, you get a key item that allows you to do a ENM there; paying another 2k will warp you straight to the ENM (Big note - The ENM zones out to Newton, you'll need a ton of invis powders to walk back to Oldton, or a warp item)

I've only done the solo ENM once, so I can't give too much info regarding it, but..it's vs a Moblin an his Automaton. The Moblin isn't agressive, and you actually don't even needto defeat him to win (rather, attacking him at all is a horrible idea - he runs away once you kill his automaton anyways).

The automaton is the same job as you, and can use the same JAs and all. From time-to-time the Moblin rolls a die that either gives you or the mob (x) hp, or mp, or TP, or any certain buff, or even resets JA timers (so making use of your 2h and stuff can be pretty useful =P)

Sorry I can't give more in-depth information.. =/ if you're going as THF, I'd say bring a Pamama Au Lait or two and some debuff/Bloody Bolts, and it should go pretty easily.
 
In addition to what Ish said, the Fantoccini cannot do anything except autoattack unless the Moblin's dice roll tells it to do something.

However, the rolls are the battle really. In addition to what Ish said they do, they are what control the abilities the Fantoccini use(Two Hour, as well as normal JAs.) You're really fighting luck, as opposed to a mob. Hi-Potions, you'll want a couple, 5+, depending how the fight goes. It's easy, but things can go wrong.

Just sub BLM or WHM and make sure you'll have 100MP(Warp) or 75MP(Mea/Holla/Dem) when you're done. Subjobs are restricted, so you're 60X/0Y, so it doesn't matter what you bring.
 
The reward is 2k exp and occasionally some items too (I got a spirit lantern). You can do it every 5 Rl days. If you go back early, he will tell you exactly when you can come back. Also, if you have merit points on, you get 2k merit points instead of exp (GRUMBLE GRUMBLE). This has been my sole means of maintaining level 75 throughout CoP lol.
 
I was gonna start doing these, i'm kinda curious as to what i would need to bring as a warrior, and if i should bring def or attack food?
 
The puppet doesn't hit hard, at all. With Counterstance, he hits for about 60. So go Attack food all the way.

The rewards are pretty crappy. The effects last really shortly(3 Minutes, tops,) and you have to keep the item equipped to get the effect. Not so bad for the ammo slot items, but for earrings and rings, it's bad.
 
wee was easy! went as warrior 60 with an axe and ok gear... even with only 2/like 11 rolls for me i won EASY, didnt get anything(Even the mulch) but yay 2k exp!
 
well drk ring isnt that bad 120TP every use
 
I got the drk earring soon as the ENM came out. Its good stuff, free tp item I can sneak in whenever I need to sleep for tp ^^
