yea, only one Fubio on FFXIAH

first ten or so that I checked it was true. heh.

I'm not a fan of attention-whore Taj, but this is quite interesting.

amirite or amirite.

This is going to be very long thread... bring it on!

I still don't know why we can trust this website, but for shits and giggles, Knightblade's name is on the unknown section.
Taj hacked the ffxiapp SQL database and uploaded it to his server, so the list itself is of all the people that have bought the program.

However, you say your in-game name, and that's the one he register. I'm not sure if it would be possible to mention, say, a mule's name and then use it on your main. Prophecy mentioned something about it being tied to the name you mention, hence why he keep that database. Although he said that when I told him not to hack while logged in on me, so it could be simply for reassurance.

Personally i dont cheat but big fing whoop people cheat?!1?! zomg..1.1.231.3123 sense whenzzZ?!!23 chill out its a game bound to happend anywhere!

p.s. it is rather funny tho ;)

Taj hacked FFXIAPP database. FFXIAPP database down today for supposed maint. Obviously you can take it with a grain of salt but I don't think Taj is in the habit of typing out a list of 4000 names for fun.

Why would the list be false, better yet, how could the list be false? The sheer number of the names and the fact that they're all actual characters means that it's not just a bunch of random names thrown together to make a fake list; there's also no reason why he'd make a list of random people and claim they're hackers when it'd be so easy to prove they never even existed. The fact that there are several known, or highly suspected hackers on the list only adds to it's credibility. While it's still entirely possible that it's totally fake, the likelihood of it being fake is almost non-existent.

About the only question to credibility I could think of would be do you have to use your real in-game name to register for it, or could you write down anything? Although that argument loses most of it's strength since you'd only do that if you think that your actions are going to be publicized in any way, so I highly doubt the list isn't real.

Sure, it's just a game.

A game thousands of others are playing with you.

Nobody gives a shit if you hack to get a Mew in Pokemon, or brandish a Gameshark to insta-lv99 in FFVIII or Vagrant Story, or whatever.

You hack in an MMO, you're just trash.

I just can't see how anyone would be dumb enough to actually use their ingame name. It just doesn't make sense, like leaving your business card behind after robbing a liquor store.

I would not doubt he probably had access to IP addresses as well. So if you did leave a fake calling card, if he had access to other resources... such as *ahem* windower run FFXIAH... thats a very very nice cross reference for any that have registered the service.

As idiotic as it seems the sheer correspondence between suspected or possible people in relation to the actual names there is quite telling.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm almost sure the program is tied to the char-name. I believe that's the reason Proph couldn't send the program to anyone else in the LS, and also the reason that list exists, and why ffxiapp had to be cracked in order for it to be able to spread further. While it might be easy to tie it to IP-addresses, that's not a list of IP's, now is it?

i know this is a nice find and all.. but what exactly will this do in the future? I'm not defending anyone. But i'm just trying to be neutral about this. To get banned you have to have evidence that 'x' person used 'x' program. You gonna call a GM and say.. 'this person' was on the list on that website. Ban him!!! You really think they gonna do that?

No, but you now know who to tell the GM to keep an eye on.

Being in Pers, I understand that you're used to vehemently denying things of this nature, but come on, lol. There's really no reason to not believe the accuracy of this list.

Eh, it doesn't mean anything really Khali. People will think what they wish to think. All it does is provide drama from across the servers lol.

Well, unless they thought there was going to be a real chance that it would be announced they got the program, I can't see much reason why they wouldn't. The problem with the liquor store analogy is that everyone knows the liquor store has been robbed, but no one knew people were downloading from the website.

I only posted it because I knew necrosis would be all over the thread and I love his sig to death.

There's 9 knightblade's known in all servers, according to ffxiah history. Anyway, if I had that, I'd prolly be in a good shell with a BB and other crap by now, lol

True. But this is internet geeks. Its not like you're dealing with the mafia where no one is going to squeel or else there's a death wish on them. Not like the internet, where the worst punishment you're gonna get for squeeling is QQ.

If the program is linked to your username, that would make sense. I'm just baffled really, trying to understand.

Check your PMs bitch, unless you are just ignoring them. Either one seems like a viable option.
