It looks very confrontational, when maybe it's not all that necessary.
If you don't like the guy then ignore him.
Even if you don't like what he says and still want to get the last word, you don't have to put in snide comments nor petty insults. Unless they are warranted, of course.

Basically; the last word doesn't necessarily mean that you had the last asshole comment. It means that you had taken responsibility maybe owned up to something that had happened and apologized. Or something else along those lines.

Just don't be a narrow minded asshat and think everyone but you is at fault.

Another person who feels the same way as Jyakotsu in terms of people. I feel its really impractical to just put some people on ignore. They could post some useful information somewhere down the line that you really need, but because you have them on ignore you would never see it. I prefer the much less realistic approach, of just try not to act like a complete idiot, and no one has a problem. Generally the people on QCDN abide by this so it works out, but never will it totally work.
