Airships, if you miss one and its still in the port taking off, you can pos and shoot out to the water where the ship is and it will put you in an instant loading screen and you'll load up on the airship. this doesnt work if you dont connect with the ship while POS'n, youll just end up underwater in front of anyone around, and panic tryin to get out before anyone sees you.

With the wardrobe thingy, if you get on the airship and wait till the downloading data screen comes up and change your hat really fast, youll end up instantly at your destination without having to take the airship ride. I believe this was patched.

posing while on the airship shows you that only the ground is moving, not the airship, tho most people already know this. You also cannot pos away from the airship, the invisible walls are very close to it, tho i did manage to get through one once and was way on the very pixelated ground and could see the airship above me.

in cutscenes its of course pre rendered characters doing the acting, even your own, But your character is still off to the side of these scenes somewhere, i was POSin around during some promathia CS' and while it showed my character in the scene i could be seen in the scene next to myself jumping around.

in almost every dynamis run i was on, anyone with pos that died in a bad spot would just use the X,Y,Z position stuff and drag their dead body to a safer place, it would just look like the body was gliding acrossed the ground.

If you die in a zone and get rez'd it was possible to use a setting in FFXIapp that convinced the server and all mobs around that you were still dead, so you could fight any mob and they would not fight back.

i remember a kirin run where proph, silver, algarius and some others were fleeing and kiting in front of a JP party and i believe it was algarius and silver (might have been kireek and silver) who got yanked into a GM jail cell together, like literally in the same cell together and told the GM it was lag from downloading porn or something, was pretty funny.

in some assaults you could POS the place so fast you could complete them in seconds, which is how me and aldiel got our gear so fast...no aldiel didnt hack, but he knew i was and believed it was ok to use me for that, but probly doesnt think it made em just as bad lol.
tho after my temp ban i stopped all hacking completley in the ways of flee and POS, so...i made my wife come along and do it for us lol. she was never caught in any of the sweeps.

i once pos'd to the top of the holla crag at its very top point, right in front of luffy whom was playing on another character, and he watched me come sliding down the crag and when asked how i did that i said "its a lag jump trick where you quickly remove your ethernet cord and plug it back in" he believed me and the red dot next to his name right after that was priceless. Tho he still believed me lmao.

That blocked off path next to the AH in kazham leads to nothing but blank open sky, i jumped over the mithra and walked down the path which just ended and all you could see was sky.

there are hidden NPC's along the name lines of DEBUGGER in every zone there are some other weird names too.

There are some inaccessible rooms/zones in ToAU zones. Like behind 2 of the 4 tidal gates of arrapago ; 2 of them are useful, and lead to either Medusa or the Astral Candy BC. But the 2 others are not used atm. Would be cool to check what's behind (those are the 2 doors marked on vanadiel atlas). You can see a room when looking through walls ...

There is also this mysterious Halvung-Mount Z zone that's only reachable though a non-functionning door, even though you can widescan mobs behind it. It is found at D11 Halvung first map. I expect it to lead on one of the tiny islands in Halvung.


That's the two place I always wondered what they are used for since ToAU first started.
 
when Toau came out i warped into that astral candy room and saw that npc thingy in the wall and clicked on it and it said you see a crack in the wall or something and you go inside and its all dark and you just come out somewhere else in the area, don't know if thats accessible now since it was a long time ago,
and i got into the undersea ruins long before it was accessible (it is now isnt it?) and there was nothing in there, just a cool looking room that looked like it was made of clockwork, and a big window that showed some undersea ruins and two teleporters that went nowhere.
you can also POS into that reserve only room, pretty funny to show up without an invite XD
i did alot of messin around in toau but my mind is hazy on anything cool i might of found
 
The thing in the candycane's room is legitimately available - if all 5 generals go down, the door there opens in Besieged, and the targetable thing lets players leave the room once Besieged is over. Dumps you out fairly near the zone to Whitegate, if I recall.

here's a good one for you, doesn't directly involve hacking but still hilarious

when my 3 day ban for fleehacking ran up (pre-perma ban) and I logged on to get let out of mordion, I had to update ffxi on PC so I was using the ps2 at the time. I didn't have ToAU installed on the ps2, and when I asked the GM to put me in jeuno or somewhere instead of my home point (whitegate) he said he wouldn't do it and to log back on tomorrow (wtf? lazy bastards, right?)

I got back on PC a little while later, and found that I was able to use my warp cudgel to get out of there. I guess there is a trip key that they can turn on or off that keeps people in the zone, and the guy removed it to port me out, but changed his mind?

Anyway, about an hour or so after warping out I was getting a bunch of tells from like 4 different GMs asking me how I got out of jail and I almost got sent back before they finally believed that I actually did warp out legitimately.

I remember first hearing about that on Vent, Chasym. Prophecy and Jonas were talking about it, and it was very funny to hear about. But it's not like it was some huge advantage. Anyone with run speed+12% can bring those dragons to the zone if they know Bead. Glacier well enough to run it without a map. Ive done it many times.

-For Prophecy- It was a charming story. Thanks for never introducing me to your hacks. However, You and I both know I taught you how to tank as a Pld, no hack will ever be able to replicate mastered tanking skill. And though you choose to cheat, I have no problem with you. You're a skilled gamer, and maybe even a skilled hacker, a lot of wanna-be hackers do seem to praise your ability with it, but honestly I wouldnt know.

I just had to reteach all of Antares how to kill the Jailers, because of you, that's all. Especially tanking Jailers like Faith, Temperance, and Xidrgs in a legitimate way, once I took over. The pulls I made on Outside Jailers were with Powder Boots on Jailers of Hope, and last time I checked, using powder boots isnt cheating. Before I created the LS though Chasym, Cyronae, Quitita on Cyronaes account because his char was ps2, Were pulling all Sea gods with Flee tools. If anything I deserve credit for cleaning up the way everyone was playing. And as we all know Cyronae never stopped using her precious bots until the day she skipped servers with a Novio Earring. That's neither here nor there though, she didn't deserve it in the 1st place, so now it's as if it never existed.

-The thing I do like about this thread is finally some honesty from people who really have Used hacks to improve their individual characters in FFXI.

Chasym, you have always tried to pool me with Proph and Deathchild, Algarius, But at the time they were using the hacks most, members like me, Uzor, Kateverlasting, Firestreak, Sarten and many others were still farming sky 3 years ago without even knowing hacks existed. I noticed prophecy seemed to die a few times less than me @ Kirin but I didnt realize he was running with 12% speed + Mazurka as opposed to just my 12%. And you know what? I think thats funny in retrospect, It made me try harder to survive.

Ive been using windower for almost 2 years now as well and Ive never denied that. I dont see why so many people are hush hush about windower, as if THAT of all things is a concern. I did test Flee Hacks out, as Ive admitted in previous posts. But I never used them to kill any NQ mob or NM, claim ANYTHING, (and yes I have claimed a few Fafnirs and King Behemoths, It can be done with a CPU and a fast upload.) obtain items, or anything, so call me an asshole cheater, as many of you like to do, it doesnt bother me. I can't feel any guilt for it because I never profitted from it on my character, it's simple as that.

Flee++ speed + a chocobo ride was really quite the experience though and I'm more happy that I tried it than not, Seriously! Crag of Holla to West Ronfaure in 25 seconds, with just a few violent crashes into the side of a mountain along the way, it was great.

-Also, I didnt even get 10% of my Sky gear in OH either, and a lot of money was stolen from that LS bank, so telling people like me and Uzor that we benefitted so many years ago, when we were really robbed of at least 10m Gil each is... well, questionable.

-All in all, hacking to win ruins a game more for the Individual more than anyone else. But it ESPECIALLY hurts a lot of other people as well, and a Multi Player game like FFXI. I mean, game genie changed the way people played Sonic the Hedgehog right?

It's just no one cared about cheating in a single player game because all it effected was the Self satisfaction and the genunine good feeling for accomplishing something WITHOUT cheating is gone, when a hack or a shiny golden plastic cartridge is jammed into your console.

Some of you need to grow the fuck up. Some of you need to PM messages, as you always do with your RE: titled "YOURE WRONG." Some of you have never cheated and never will, and I /salute you, I will never again either. "Most" of have realized that thousands upon thousands of cheaters "have" been banned though, and the majority of people still playing some game called FFXI, don't cheat. Theyre here because they enjoy this old damn game.

It really is so outdated, people who continue to cheat just don't know how to play the game any other way.

Yes but POS Hacking is. You can't magically jump from just inside Grand palace of Huxzoi to the possible pops with powder boots. Nor can you magically erase a Bind spell cast on you using powder boots.

Looking for your quote now where you said you fleehacked in La Theine plateau 'for fun'. Tough to do if you didn't know they existed. Uzor also is on record as saying he knew the hacks existed...so I have no clue where you're coming from here.

Well, if you do care to re read my post I specify the time me and Uzor benefited from other people hacking was close to 3 years ago, when we were in a Sky LS OH. And no, we were only aware after the fact.

Also, I guess since you mentioned it, I remember you getting pissed off about this before. I don't know how much Ballista you've played, but if you take damage while you are Bound, it generally comes off. This is true for monsters a lot of the time too.

And Jamal, there is a magical command in Ballista called /sprint, it gives you temporary flee if you do not posess any petras, Just fyi.

FYI, you were bound by a BLM. FYI there was no one around. FYI if you use /sprint it doesn't release Bind.

FYI, if you take damage it says Bind was released it says the Bind effect wears off. FYI this message didn't appear. FYI stop being a fucking dipshit
 
FYI Catholicon removes any status ailment, FYI at the time you messaged me and got pissed you and 2 other people hit me right after I was bound. Were you upset that I wouldn't hold still for you?

FYI it was crosis there not me. FYI my BLM is lvl 20. FYI any item removing status ailments would still tell Crosis that the effect would be removed.

Get your fucking story straight. And you still haven't responded to the Huxzoi incidents either.

Also, while you're being so forthcoming, how about a reason why you allowed known hackers to benefit you before you 'cleaned up' Antares. The only reason it got 'cleaned' was server hopping, suspensions, and quitting. If you really were 'cleaning' the LS up, you would have booted the 'hackers' out. Instead, you realized the hypocrasy in doing so, so you allowed them to remain.
