Some of you cats know I have been in Iraq for the last six months. The light is finally shining bright at the end of this long deployment tunnel and I am looking forward to coming home and playing FFXI and WoW again. My systems, however, are a tad outdated and I am going to upgrade.
Now for the brainstorming. I don't know how much longer FFXI is going to be around. Perhaps many years yet, but who knows. I could get some refurbished PS2's and play that way. However in the next couple years will FFXI still be fully supported on PS2? So another option would be to get two good computer systems that I could run a HDMI cable over to a big screen TV and play that way. I have a tendency to dual box, however, so perhaps getting two good gaming laptops would be good.
If you guys could reset your current setups what would you buy, keeping final cost under $5000. I also dual box in WoW... Just kind of got addicted to playing two toons at once. Kinda fun.
