Ripped from FFXIVcore.com I highlighted some awesome things.

Japanese gaming blog Andriasang has leaked some information regarding the next issue of Famitsu. As of now it is merely conjecture, but we felt it worth posting. The content has been circulating for some time now and is even being discussed within the community here, but we have not felt until now that it was valid enough to consider posting as news.

For better or worse here is the bullet summary from Andriasang originally harvested from another blog by the name of Game Jouhou:

* The beta version will see some system changes that will make it so that you can more easily string together your attacks.
* The alpha test had bad tempo with insufficient explanations. They've made some revisions to the beta, resulting in a completely different system.
* It will be easier to save up gil.
* Beta appears to use a different technique for its shadows. The alpha version used something called "Project Shadows" while the beta version uses "Depth Buffer Shadows."
* The city of Limsa Lominsa will have two levels.
* There will be a robust log filter in place. This is something that wasn't finished in time for the alpha.
* They're readying something large scale for your home, which functions like FFXI's Mog House.
* They'll soon be adding alpha testers as part of the new "alpha 2" phase. They've already selected the participants via drawing!
* As you play the game you'll be able to freely change the god that you select during character making.
* Vehicles for FFXIV include chocobo, horse driven carriage, boat, and airship.
* You'll be able to select different colors for your equipment.

The original source for the below information seems to have been Gahoo of Eorzeapedia in his coverage of the same article via further translation of Game Jouhou's original article. This information has not been listed by Andriasang though they bring up a few possibly interesting points:

* Items can be signed much like FFXI.
* Players can participate in the fighting arena (? PvP? Against monsters?) and gambling within Ul'dah.
* They are considering allowing player bazaars to run while players are logged out.

When Famitsu is actually released tomorrow we'll be able to confirm or deny these points, as usual, so please stay tuned and check back for updates and our own translation of the article!!

I can't say how much I would LOVE to be able to be logged out and sit around to sell my things over night.

Yeah, that'd be nice, being able to just declare you want to sell something, rather than have to sit around logged in the entire time.

Custom armor coloring is also an overdue addition.

I like the idea of it being easier to save up gil, the log off and bazaar will definitely conserve a lot of energy use in the world :D

It mentioned fighting arena, I hope it includes certain areas that are PVP. It always seemed like such a hassle to join those PVP games. The gambling sounds really fun too "Hi, my name is Sav and I'm addicted to gambling my gil away." The coloring of armor will add personal distinction to the characters, and that's cool, but what is that horse and carriage? A taxi service? or maybe two people pay, and one person steers? Lol, no more /follow and getting stuck.

Update June 25th: http://www.ffxivcore.com/

Stats used in Beta

* HP, MP, and TP, which were raised by physical bonus points in the alpha, will now go up automatically.
* Strength, Vitality, Dexterity, Mind, Intelligence, and Piety will be raised by physical bonus points.
* Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Lightning, and Water elemental properties will be raised by elemental bonus
* Agility, Charisma, and Luck have been scrapped
* Physical and elemental bonus points will be earned when physical level raises.

Destroying body parts
By damaging or destroying a monster’s body parts or an enemy’s weapon during battle, a few things can happen. In some cases, they will be unable to use certain special attacks, the number of items dropped will increase, or the drop rate for certain items will increase.

Actions must be set to the main- or sub-weapon

* The action bar has been increased to 30 slots. Each action has an action cost which is used when set to the action bar, and even if you still have slots left in your action bar, you cannot go over your action cost.
* Actions must be set to the main- or sub-weapon. For example, phalanx, a move related to the shield, will most likely need to be set to the shield in your sub-weapon slot.
* There are three pages of slots for actions, for a total of 30 slots.
* There is a page of 10 slots for special class characteristics.
* There is a page of 10 slots for crafting abilities.

The "points" must refer to a skill tree obviously. It feels like FFXI's merit system only from the beginning and this time it starts from 0, not like taking what you already had at 75 and tweaking it.

isn't that what the auction house is for :p

Putting something in your bazaar is free, so to put a Mill+ item in the auction house is absurd; first off, the tax would be super crazy, second, if it didn't sell you would have to pay the tax again to re-post it. Action House is good for quick moving merchandise, or highly sought for inventory, not rare specialties often found in bazaar's.

Agility, Charisma, and Luck have been scrapped
So much for that Luck stat, huh?
Although getting rid of AGI and CHR is kinda wtf.

wonder what piety is gonna do. with the god system they have (choosing a deity at character creation) i wonder if it will replace luck, instead of it just being luck maybe you'll have "gods favor" or something.

No Charisma. Say good bye pet jobs. ; ;

Wasn't BST most popular because it was fairly soloable? We can't rule anything out just because it doesn't match ffxi stats. SE is trying to wing people away from the fact of the game just being a FFXI part II, and set the stage for a new mmo which extends the FF series as well as what they learned worked/didn't work from ffxi. We still don't even know the remaining jobs that could be released with the final version, let alone later on in the expansions which they've stated are already underway.

There's a few things I thought Piety might be able to do - one of them being increasing healing spell potency, another being luck, critical hit rate etc.
