So i am in garlaige (wheres my auto-translator for spelling) and a lvl 32 DRG sees me (i am lvl 33 DRG) and i /sh 33 DRG do you need it? so he says /sh Better DRG do you need i dont have gimp gear! <-- or something to that effect! starts /t stuff about how his gear was better, i was wearing moslty merc. cpt. gear and whatever gave str and dex. So i decide to chek him he has worst gear except LL boots and EMP hairpin.


Made me so mad that he did this and most of his gear was crap...

I dont have the cash to put up 1.5 mil for 2 items.

Just a little venting.

I just ignored him since i got a party first and he had been waiting there.... i guess being nice got me farther cause the people who invited me i was BSing with yesterday!

I resent that Senses -.-; XD Man, I had that my whole way up, from 10-72. Just ignore them. That's what /blist add <insert name here> is for.
 
Shouting for party tends to be stupid, but my name starts with an "A" for the same reason people shout. If there are two people to pick you tend to pick the one you see/hear first.

That's something I would have done myself if the person was really gimped. If you're wearing armor so bad it's an insult to your party then I would have in an instant.

Heck, I go in the jungles and see a Dragoon there... no battle gloves, no rse *good Rse*, no atk+ earrings, no atk+ or str+ legs, crappy spear, missing slots of armor...

Better believe I'd say something like that to them. Not saying your gear was crap, because heck, I dunno what you all had on.

The simple fact is, someone is going to call you gimped if you don't have the best. Get the best or grow thicker skin.
 
Thanks to the patch, now you don't have to buy hairpin and boots! Wait.. you didn't have to do that before... but anyhow, now they're slightly less camped?
 
kinda happened to me the other day... something to be expected in dunes BUT w/e..

i was lvling mnk (16 at the time) and i had all +1 gear and by 70K knuckles and crap, then this mnk /sh ----blah blah invite me

so i check em and he has like bronze gear on with a cesti(lvl 1) and 2 int. rings... i wanted to shout soooo bad that his gear was retardly dumb...

but i didnt... and he still ended up getting a party before me -.-

btw same lvl/rank, but he was elvan i was mithra.... jus saying Me > him yet his shout got the invite...

If I was the pt leader and got that mnk... I would of told him to quit or get half decient gear, and then kick him and invite a diffrent mnk or some other kind of DD

i havent played in a while whats all this rare/ex stuff about?
 
rare means you can only have one at a time and ex means you cant trade or sell it.
 
Could someone please post a site or give me information on how i can obtain these items, probly be a good idea for my DRG .... isnt peacock charm better ... i cant remenber i have only seen it once? is it possible to get peacock charm in ex form?

Ha! My ass... I been to visit the VE three times now, and it's just as crowded as before. People want the rare/exc drop so they can sell their rare drop for a nice easy ~mil.

Flip:
Camp the Valkurm Emporer. If you get the drop, it's now a rare/exc duplicate of the Emporer Hairpin, dubbed the Empress Hairpin.

Camp Leaping Lizzy. If you get the drop, it's now a rare/exc duplicate of the Leaping Boots, dubbed the Bounding Boots.

Camp Argus. If you get the drop, it's now a rare/exc duplicate of the Peacock Charm, dubbed the Peacock Amulet.

The original Emporer Hairpin, Leaping Boots, and Peacock Charm are all now obtainable through BCNM40s only. Well, they may drop from some higher-level BCNMs as well, but those are the only confirmed ones I've seen thus far.
 
yup thats correct, LL drops BB boots rare/ex, VE drops empress hairpin rare/ex, and same for peacock charm, and you can get the old versions of em all in kindred seals BCNM ^^ good luck cuz i havent seen much change from before the update and after, no change in campers lol
 
Can my 38 DRG or 52 RDM camp for the peacock or valkrum .... ? i would rather use my drg but if i have to i will use my rdm.
 
VE is 29-30, LL is 7-10, Argus is 39. Your drg could handle the first two quite easily but Argus would promptly hand your ass to you.

Keep in mind that Argus is (as far as I know) still a 24-36 hour spawn, and there is a lot of competition down there when his window is open.
