Some people need to go back to the dunes...

And to add to the mess, the rdm/brd, Rolipoli ate shit as well. Had the whm Bastilla or the blm Trinitie cured me...

Isn't that nice? :banghead3:

I think you answered your question right there...

I don't blame you at all for being mad if there were 3 mages there and none of them noticed you were in trouble lol...yes, it is the whms responsibility to cure, but obviously they were busy...doing...something else....I guess.

Hahaha, that last part made me laugh out loud just now. Thanks I needed that. I don't hate all whms now...just people like Bastilla.

You should have told the Whm that he/she could have saved their MP since your poison was going to be removed by death.

Hahahha, this too. That's a good point you make. I totally should've told her that. And about my cure macro, it's only gotten me in an arguement once, back when I was level 26 i think, in Yutunga (however you spell it...wish there was an auto-translater -_-) Jungle. Some guy next to our pt started bitching, but then my entire pt was like "STFU noob! He pwns! Let him do his thing!" lol They were just saying that cuz I could make my own juice and was never out of mp, hahah. I've actually made friends because of that macro...so yea, I like it.

Oh and Excim didn't derail my thread too much, since this is a flame about those who let me stare at the ceiling for a while and about other dumbass healers that need to be stripped of their rank, gear, and gil and tossed back into the dunes naked.

When I play WHM, I filter out all damage except that done to party. It makes it alot easier to see TP attacks.

Naw, you don't really need that even. If you leave mob special actions off, you should be able to see most TP attacks. That, and watch the screen, and you should be ok.

Actually my pet peeve is people whining about poison.

"omg 1 dmg/tick i'm going to fucking die!!!!! just look at my health...1024...1023...1022..."

I don't mind if a mage gets poisoned as they actually NEED it removed but when you see the warrior asking for it then it just gets plain annoying, especially given that they are usually actually gaining a good 15 hp/tick...

Rant over.

P.s. the others i admit are a bitch and i cure ASAP.

Lol yeah that's just dumb and annoying. Poison isn't hurting any of their stats, and the HP loss is too small/slow to have priority over Cures.

Your probably right about Roli not thinking he had to monitor your health. Alot of long-time players (1+ year) tend to expect people to cover their own job's requirements in parties and don't always take into account the fact that our server seems to be plagued by "newbs" with level 50+ jobs these days. Sorry you had a bad WHM Max....I'm still learning the WHM business myself at this point.

61-63 I'd be in LoO unless I had a party that was overpowered. Especially with the tank being 61, that is pretty low for B. tree. I remember a 62 PLD getting shredded there. The fact of the matter is, if you are getting owned as a PLD (or NIN) in a zone, you aren't ready for that zone and should come back later. All the curing that looks is needed you wouldn't be chaining very well and would probably be looking at 2k an hour, I'd rather die and disband.

We were actually getting Chain 4's becuz the DRK and WAR were both 63. So they'd using their WS and do like 700+ dmg and then the Blm was randomly casting Freeze (which I was holding hate from btw....without SATA....lol) so the fights were generally about 2-3 min long, sometimes faster if the DDs had tp at the start of it.

And yea, I totally wanted to leave. But figured I'd bite the bullet. I actually ate a bullet...

Ouch, that sucks. I know Roli has played a bunch of jobs 60+ and like Paddington says, would probably not feel the need to make sure the other mages were doing their jobs. I am kinda suprised he didn't notice once you hit red HP, but I'll admit I've been preoccupied with other tasks at the beginning of a fight and not noticed before.

The BLM should have had it though, since they remain mostly innactive between their innitial elemental debuffs and MB, not counting a random stun, drain, or aspir. I mean the WHM is the most obvious, but in terms of healing roles, the BLM take the backup curing at the beginning of the fight and the RDM in the later part when they only have refreshing/hasting/dispeling/aspiring to do. While it sounds like alot, it's really not and the recast timers force you into a little free time. In the 2nd half of the fight BLM are more focused on stunning, as the mobs have gathered TP, as well as the melees for a neccesary MB.

I was in the Boyahda Tree a while back, whatever level Robber Crabs were. Our tank REPEATEDLY dropped orange.. so I stopped refeshing the whm, started hasting the tank (whm didnt.. wtf). Our tank never died but our exp wasnt all it could be.. fact is a LOT of WhM I've pt'd with have been so terrible..
then you strike gold.
I feel HORRIBLE I cannot remember their name.. the pt was
Nin
Mnk
Whm
Blm
Rdm
War (I think)
The nin held hate superbly, the BlM (TY Mrdvb) was amazing, bursting freeze and making the fights pitifully short, the Mnk dropped some heavy damage fast.. but the big deal.. was the Whm.
NEVER missed a -na spell, actually landed them within 1-2 sec of the status landing.. cured fast and efficient.. kept haste up and kept buffs up. This is one of the best WhM's I ever pt'd with.. I just have the memory of a goldfish sometimes ._. but you know who you are, you were AWESOME thank you :3

some WhM.. are amazing.. same with any job though.. you have the AMAZING and the GTFO ones :p

Well as a WHM I always let the PLD get hit to the yellow and then they can use their Cure III/IV and then that lets them get massive hate so I can do my job more effectivly. So going by that standpoint I could see how letting you die was just the WHMs way of letting you get all the hate so that they could do thier job more effectivly right. I mean there is a reason that we get all of those Raise spells. ;)

-_-

There's a subtle difference between the colors Yellow and Red. Don't know if you can see it, but give it a shot, lol.

And I'll remember that is any WHM tries to use that excuse in a PT that they let me almost die so I could "get hate". I might suddenly stop Provoking, Flashing, and curing myself....and oh no! Dead white mage! Sure is a good thing you have all those Re-Raise spells...

I've played all the mage jobs and it might be a force of habbit but i always watch the pts hp and heal someone if they need it. so really any of the mages SHOULD have healed you.

yeah it would of set off a huge red flag on me if the pld was droping to the red. i would of healed you up and called a time out team discussion after the fight after that bull shit.

blm is bussy but there's no reason to not toss a quick cure 3. usually when i lvld blm if the mob was close to being dead and the tank was going down and the whm was out of mp i would just spam my highest spell no matter what it was to either A get hate or B kill it. its a lot faster to let a blm die then a pld because a blm can fight weakend where as a tank can't
